From the CBC: To investigate an artist's murder, Brackenreid picks up his paintbrush again and attracts a wealthy patron's very personal attention.

William and Julia had good scenes in this episode; they were very cute and it's much appreciated because they bring the heart to the show. I hope W/J don't pin too much hope on the fertility treatment and then end up heartbroken.
I'm still not a fan of Watts and his pointless scenes. I also don't need to see him drooling over every attractive woman. I didn't mind the other recurring characters popping up in the episode because they weren't overused and there was a point to them. Though I noticed George hasn't stopped with his hypocritical attitude when it comes to Nina. One of the reasons I'll never like that relationship.
I can't be the only viewer who guessed the killer the second the fire in Denton's studio was mentioned. A red flag moment in the plot.

I enjoyed this episode. I always love when they have a Brackenreid/Margaret episode. I wished it would have been Murdoch who had to strip down to nothing and model for a painting to catch the killer LOL. He's so proper it would have been a hoot! And, I don't think the female audience would have minded a nude Murdoch! I know Julia would have dug it!
I liked Murdoch and Julia in this episode. I usually don't pay attention to their romance, but they won me over with the way they worked as as couple at the ending when Julia admitted her fertility treatment.
I must say with all of the side-plots going on, I kind of overlooked the murder investigation. I do enjoy Watts and like having him as a new edition to the show, but I agree his "romance" kind of got in the way of the mystery because it didn't add anything to this episode. He was just there, getting in the way of important issues.
It was wonderful seeing Brackenreid taking centre stage with his lovely Margaret. The ending was priceless when Margaret disrobed for her portrait!

I'm really tired & had a very busy day so I'm going to keep this brief.
Not my favourite episode of the season - though it wasn't without it's highlights - I particularly enjoyed the opener when Julia says "again" after they find another body on a "vacation". Also - Murdochs inability to appreciate art was enjoyable. I wonder what sort of art he would actually like? Perhaps paintings of trains? Or a very particular portrait of Julia if you catch my drift...
Watts seemed extra this episode. I couldn't see a point to his storyline other than "wait! watts needs a love interest!" Eh.I agree with Terence's Top Hat in that it seemed a little superfluous.
Margaret Brackenreid is always a delight to see - and I'm glad Julia told William about the FT.
Haven't seen Violet in a bit...Hopefully we see a bit more of her in the next half of the season.
