My daughter and I have been ardent fans of this show since the beginning. The mysteries, characters and history lessons are so much fun. Murdoch’s slightly autistic character Is particularly interesting, as are his inventions and Crabtree’s naming of them. The writers have been beyond reproach, until this season. It is distressing to watch conflict affect the relationships of the main characters. Soap operas do that well, and I stopped watching them years ago. There is enough drama in real life (and on many other shows). Use your fantastic and talented secondary actors and actresses to tell difficult and complex tales! Please do not fall into the trap of manipulating the main characters to keep the show edgy. You lost my daughter halfway through Julia’s miscarriage. She swears she will never watch another episode. After years of being a devoted fan! I stopped watching that particular episode, but gave the show a chance by watching the final episode. The jury is out.

William and Julia have always had a difficult relationship and things had been going too well for too long, to be honest I was finding the relationship boring which was disappointing as I had always loved the two of them with their ups and downs. I was hoping something like this would rear it's head. They never did settle the abortion issue, William just filed it in one of his compartments, and it was likely the reason Julia miscarried so I don't see what was wrong with this episode. Some of us like light and some of us like angst. The light crowd has had a very long run, it's time the angst crowd got their turn.

We have just seen this episode in Australia. To say it was dark underestimates the impact.WOW WOW. It was so sad when Julia lost the baby. I cried and felt her pain. This was one of the best episodes so far. Watts played a good part. I felt William was far too harsh on Julia and she did the right thing telling him to leave. He is so closeminded while Julia is ahead of her time and unafraid to take risks. I was surprised Julia turned on the scientist as Julia herself was willing to try the fertility treatment. William has been so loving, attentive and shown such concern for Julia since her pregnancy and miscariage. The w/j moments have been alive and well for a while and much loved by those who love them. I am not sure what to think of Violet Ahart. She is obviously after Julias job. Julia said her miscarriage was internal. Perhaps down the track it will come out that Violet had put something in her drink. She is playing with fire if she thinks she can take Julia's job. She seems also to have her eye on William. This will be a very interesting storyline. So nice to see William in a different coat. I like this new one, and Julias clothes have been great so far.The writers do a good job coming up with all the different stories and the twists. Looking forward to the last episode, and glad there will be a season 12.Yannick and Helene play such strong characters thier performance was brilliant.
