I loved this episode although I thought it was a bit silly in the end. But I laughed so many times, especially when Henry kept saying William and Tom! The actress who plays Ruth is so funny, she has to be on more often. Any scene between George and Henry is a hoot.

I really loved this episode. In particular...

George saving Henry. Again...And again...and again!

The horny English cousin who suffers from narcolepsy.

The fact that the entire goddamn Newsome clan is clearly insane.

The fact that they lost the entire family fortune.

Henry begging for his job back from the inspector.

The final confrontation about what happened to the missing millions.

HISTORICAL THINGY:

The "quake hitting Frisco" refers to the Great San Francisco Earthquake, which was April, 1906.

oh my goodness THAT EPISODE! Hands down that has got to be the funniest episode ever of Murdoch Mysteries!


Things I loved:
- Henry's Character development!
- PRIDE AND PREJUDICE REFERENCE
- William and his adversion to digging.
- the fact that there really wasn't a scene without Brackenreid with some alcohol


- NEWSOMES
- Reginald's ending "off into Poverty song"
- Murdoch being clueless with Julia when he's examining the letter.
- HIGTREE BROTP

Things I could have done without:
- George being assaulted.
- WHERE IN THE NAME OF BRACKENREID WAS MARGARET???
- George's best man speach - like he's a writer and I thought he would have done something else just not that

Sounds like the series is going to be a brilliant one. Does anyone know when it will be shown in Australia.We watch it on Foxtell but they have nothing scheduled yet and keep showing repeats nightly.......

What everyone else said! This episode was a hoot. I love every minute of it. I can't begin to what I loved the most. The directing was superb the way everyone sort of popped in and out. The pacing. The actors really brought this one home. So did the script writers. Well done!

We have only just seen this episode in Australia so we are a bit behind. it was a good laugh! So many funny moments. I love that Julia has better outfits this season.W/J have still got that famous chemistry. Brilliant. George and Henry were just brilliant. It will be interesting to see How the marriage works out.Will George ever find true love.? naaa. that could be boring for George. The writers come up with some absolute beauties and this has to one of the best.
