WE shall wait and see, but already this season has been poor writing and the end is in sight now.

Well, I have just watched the most stupid and boring episode of ANY show ever. Season 12 episode 6 called "Sir!! sir!!! sir!! When writers have lost the plot and don't know which way to turn they write about aliens. What a load of rubbish. Surely the cast and crew must have known how silly and embarrassing that was to do. I thought it was a hoot and a half. Your mileage may vary.

WE shall wait and see, but already this season has been poor writing and the end is in sight now. It is still the CBC's most viewed and popular drama series, with viewership going up. Unless the principal actors want to stop, the end in nowhere in sight.........while season 13 has yet to be announced (probably will be 31 March), the actors and production team are talking like they fully expect to continue.....

Although disappointed with series 12 so far I continue watching. I haven't missed a single episode from the start. I'm hoping it will pick up of course.

Friends, the last two-part episode of Season 12 is the best of the whole season, which in my opinion overall was rather poor. It ends on the cliffhanger about the nefarious involvement of Miss Hart in the shenanigans leading of the deaths and attempted murder of John Brackenreid. However, can anyone clear up for me exactly how she fits in? Besides placing the fragment of the bullet into the first woman's body, how is Miss Hart involved in the deaths themselves? Was the man in the carriage Carmichael the father? How did he obtain the key for the cupboard containing John's gun to apparently put into the pocket of McWorthy after he murdered McWorthy with the paperweight?? And the cold encounter of Murdoch with her at the end shows that things aren't going to go easy for her, and even that her coroner work will surely be suspect from now on into Season 13. Any thoughts??

You and I are on the exact same wavelength on this. Out of 18 episodes in Season 12 there were probably a total of 4 or 5 that were any good. The rest can be junked. I only wish all episodes of MM for 12 seasons had been at least as good as the two-part finale. If the first episodes of Season 13 are as lousy as most of Season 11 and 12, as far as I am concerned they will be wasting money throwing candies at the public who they think will just watch and support MM no matter the quality of the writing. Sometimes I think writers are so absorbed in their own world and in pleasing the higher-ups that they just don't care about the public.

Yes that is so true. There have been many tv series that went past their sell by date through lack of ideas. Warehouse 13, NCIS and many more just got boring. I am afraid if new blood (Writers) are not brought in then there will be a lot of cast and crew looking for work soon.
