From the CBC: When Brackenreid leaves Toronto to help an old friend find a missing woman, he learns he's a lot closer to the case than he thought.
(This is on 2 weeks from tonight......MM is pre-empted next week for the Giller Prizes...…)

Loved this episode! Outside of the Halloween episode, this season has been excellent. I think we needed some drama and tension between some of the main characters and it worked really well tonight. I thought John was excellent in this episode and I liked how George stood up to Murdoch, of course not knowing that Murdoch knew what was going on.
I wonder if Brackenreid's daughter will meet Margaret in the future. John seemed interested in knowing her.
Now we wait till January for the next one.

ugh this episode. It was nice for Brackenreid to get the spotlight for once and IT WAS AN AMAZING EPISODE! A lot of the episodes this season have been really strong and I love that this show still has such vitality after 12 seasons!
Okay Tom - when when are you going to learn to not wonder off by yourself. Everytime you do you get beat up. Seriously. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME! Take Murdoch with you - as his magic homburg properties might rub off on you.
Also dude - write a better letter to your wife.
Gotta hand it to John - he handled a very personal private matter about his father really well and didn't completely loose his marbles!
Also Nomi is a lesbian and nothing you can say will convince me otherwise and I totally ship her and Lydia.(loved the call back to episode 2! As Goddess of the Temporal Continuum I was most pleased!)
Am I the only one who felt a little forshadow creep over when Murdoch and Brackenreid were talking at the end of the episode and Brackenreid thanks Murdoch for keeping his confidence and Murdoch said "I would expect the same from you."
ANYWAY Let's talk about the other gem tonight MARGARET BRACKENREID
Ugh she handled being "managed" at the station so well by Murdoch and the other SH4 boys. I was totally expecting her to slap Murdoch for his remark about having John escort her home. I hope there is plenty of angst and pining in this separation but ultimately at the end of the day they make it through together. It's actually kind of nice for the drama to fall on another couple than William/Julia. I totally get why she's pissed. They've been together long enough that he should have been able to give her a better explanation instead of just jetting off in the middle of the night. Especially for an ex-girlfriend. Final straw really.

Honestly, I would love for Nomi to meet the rest of the Brackenreid's. (or at least keep in touch with Tom/John) And maybe she'll come back around again I'd really love to see her again. (OOH maybe she can join Freddie Pink?? as a PI?? or am I getting too frankie drake?) I agree! It was good how Crabtree stood up to Murdoch saying "I don't like this." During that scene with Crabtree and Murdoch I could see Murdoch's age and experiences aching through. If that makes any sense?? Like Crabtree hasn't reached that point where past actions/events have come back around at him, and hasn't really considered that some parts of his past he may not want to share with others. (ex. his jail time with his future kids?) It would be great to see some drama with the side characters - there really hasn't been a whole lot other than George/Nina breaking up at the end of S11. I'm totally down with some angst and pining between the Brackenreids but ultimately at the end them working through it.

Final straw really. Thomas and William should both have received slaps to the face for their behaviour tonight. It actually would have been funny to see her do it! Can you imagine how Julia would have reacted if he'd have talked to her like that? I do think they'll reconcile because even though he handled it badly, he never cheated on her and didn't know about his daughter. At the same time, in previous episodes she's tried so hard to act like she's above her class that having a black daughter likely won't go over well at all. I hope they don't bury the entire story. What is the story with tv-eh? It seems like a fan site even though the writer is a former TV critic. I have seen him get pissed off at fans for being critical and he seems to be friends with Peter Mitchell so it would be hard to be critical with that type of relationship. I would love to see impartial reviews of the show with criticisms where it's deserved.

I'M NOT BACK FROM THE GRAVE, SO DON'T THINK THAT THIS'LL CURRY ANY FAVOUR WITH ME, YOU BUNCH OF BROWN-NOSING BASTARDS!!
If you haven't seen me for weeks, it's because I was moving house, and also because I just got back from hospital (I spent two days there on a foot-infection).
I'm still recovering from said infection, but I managed to watch the two latest MM episodes.
I REALLY enjoyed this episode. I found it interesting, exciting, mysterious. It was a very Brackencentric episode, which I liked.
I don't agree with Margaret's reactions, though. Thomas had no way of knowing what was going on, or what would happen. She can't hold him responsible for that. That was the only thing I really didn't enjoy about the episode. After all, despite everything - his temper, his drinking, his crassness etc, Thomas is a very good husband to her. And to throw him over like that seems very unfair.

Great episode. John was brilliant. Brackenreid talent really shone in this one.I enjoyed that they did not have a few storylines going in the one episode and stuck to the main story. Margaret was unreasonable and pigheaded.
