Oh gosh RUTH AND JULIA this episode! Helene Joy's facial expressions A++ Not sure how I feel about Ruth becoming a nurse, I was better thinking she'd be better in a department store - but eh if she wants to be a nurse then sure.
I don't know about you but I'm a bit irked at Margaret and Tom right now. Like seriously. TALK YOU GUYS. I get Margaret needs space right now and her going to her sister's house is totally fine. But she shouldn't have left her ring and she should have at least spoken to Tom before skedaddling. Likewise Tom should go after her. I understand that he doesn't want to beg and he doesn't have too, but he should have at least gone to Grimsby(?) to talk to her, at least to apologize for not trusting her enough, and for keeping her in the dark.
George and the auctioneer though that was adorable. George was so clueless!
Was a bit disappointed in William - not asking for that "Italian detective"'s credentials. (at least he contacted the Italian poliece) Didn't he way back when obtain the French Detectives credentials & contacted the French police confirming he's one of theirs??? Eh. Just seemed like an obvious thing he would do.

William didn't question the credentials of the English detective, supposedly from Scotland Yard, who ended up being the murderer either...….
I may have to go up to Discovery Harbour this summer to see HMS Bee again...….HMS Tecumseh, which is a bigger schooner, is up there as well.....

The French detective (the one with the wife and the mistress!) showed his badge but I agree, William didn't question the Italian guy. I wondered about that from the very beginning.
As for Margaret and Thomas, I think she over-reacted by leaving the wedding ring but she is 100% right for being upset at him taking off like he did and not telling her why. There was no reason for him to do that. And he most definitely should be going to see her and he should do it unannounced.

The Italian detective did flash some ID so I think everyone took him at his word. No one has ever questioned anyone claiming to be a detective before.

I do hope they can work this out, though. Mind you I wouldn't mind Bracks getting a taste of his own medicine. Margaret's a very understanding wife. She witnessed Thomas kissing that opera singer. He was completely infatuated with her. He also was quite smitten with that thief lady...can't remember her name but she's starring on Frankie Drake now. Margaret puts up with a lot from Thomas. I'd like to see a gentleman become infatuated with Margaret. Hehe. |

I see both henry and George have put o a little weight.MM stories are always fresh and exciting. Ruth is adorable and makes her presence felt. Not afraid of a days work. Good for her. Surprised margaret is not making an effort to save her marriage. Brax is only human and everyone has a past. Just in suspense now waiting to see if we get season 13
