Absolutely no discussion on this episode !! Another day of an episode until season 9. 1. George in that frickin' hat! I laughed so hard. 2. My oh my Julia looks great in season 2. I think it's my favorite season for the hair & dresses! 3. I love all the different people from history in this one! The Inspector hanging out with Annie Oakley was fun! 4. I always thought it was obvious who did it in this episode. Why would they go through the trouble of introducing us to some horse boy if he wasn't involved. You probably couldn't have guessed why, but I always think these small characters are suspicious. 5. LOL when Margaret tells William that she is disappointed in him & William proceeds to be as loud as he can.

LOL when Margaret tells William that she is disappointed in him & William proceeds to be as loud as he can. This is one of those episodes where I mentally reference one of the CBC panels. Apparently this is one of Tom Craig's favorites, both because of the guest star for Annie Oakley, as well as the scene where Yannick is riding with the reins in one hand and he lassos the guy running away with the other. Tom says something like 'and I'm running behind him with my stick!" Cracks me up every time. And yes George in the hat, looking as pleased as a 12 year old boy The William being so loud bit - it's one of the first times I remember William finding a passive aggressive way to be really annoyed with the Inspector lol. I keep meaning to do a bit of googling about any 19th century criminals who lost their teeth in a barfight and ended up with a ton of false ones (gold right?) It always sounds like it has a ring of truth, even if the 'truth' has to do with a completely different historical event.

This is one of the first episodes I saw when I was home sick and channel surfing.......so it was one of the episodes that hooked me..... This was one of my least favorite eps early on because of the hokey American West and lack of Jlliam. However, over time this ep has grown on me. All the older episodes have a depth that rewards rewatching.

All the older episodes have a depth that rewards rewatching. The hokey American west is exactly what was portrayed in the wild west shows. Jilliam had barely begun in this ep as it was the first of the second season. They only really got together in TGM.
