-Has a love/hate relationship with her younger sister Ruby. Also had a strained relationship with her father until he passed in 1901.
-Is an atheist or at least not very religious. Has come to appreciate certain aspects of Catholicism for her husband's sake.
-Does not believe in anything supernatural or spiritual
-Has a lame sense of humour which makes her hysterical
-Loves poetry, especially poets from the Romantic era
-Loves music, used to frequently have some playing while she worked
-Loves to paint in the buff
-Traveled abroad in Europe in her younger years. Kept a journal of her time there, especially in Prague. Went to Vienna in 1900 in order to study with Freud.
-Switched professions from pathologist to psychologist, preferring to work with the living. Currently planning on running for the 1902 provincial election.
-Often has sexual fantasies about Murdoch and vice versa. Is a fan of chemistry.
-Apparently all of her clothes were recently burned in a tragic fire (or lost somewhere in transit back from Vienna) and she was too busy to go shopping for new stuff, so she was stuck wearing the same two outfits for a year, most notably the 'blue' one. As of 1901, her fashion sense became much better.
-Is not afraid to stick up for herself and will get physical if necessary. Has killed one man in self defense.
-Is a strong believer in women's rights and not afraid to break the law. In 1902 protested outside of Parliament and was arrested.
-Married Darcy Garland in 1898 and was widowed in 1900 by serial killer James Gillies. On May 28th 1902 she married the love of her life, one Detective William Murdoch. Are currently enjoying themselves a lot.

I said 1860s as in 1860-1869. It's probably more like 1865 though, making her 30 at the time the show started. But she might be a year or two older than that.
