Yes i don't think it is a spoiler to say that he appears in season 6, I wouldn't know when and for what though. Glad you liked the episode but I thought you would ;D, for me season 5 starts to get better and better from this point!!!

I didn't like James Pendrick at first, but he softened up later, I'd like to see him become a good friend with Murdoch.

To Rondetto; Yes that would be a good idea, they could create a great invention together I agree with you that he wasn't a likable character in most episodes of season 3 except for the last one but maybe the writers did that intentionally so we would never suspects Sally Pendrick. I liked him better in this episode of season 5 though and I was a bit sad when he said to Murdoch that they should be friends instead of enemies (or something to that avail I don't remember the words exactly, haven't seen it in a while). Peter Stebbings is great in that role!!

I'd love to see them become friends, too! In a way I adore his nasty side. He seems to go either way--very good man or a bit on the sly, cunning side.

I can see that Tesla is a popular character but in addition to him I'd like to see Arthur Conan Doyle, HG Wells and Jimmy McLeod all come back again. Wells was an advocate of bicycling and I think that was a missed opportunity with his character as it would give him and Murdoch something to engage with. Geraint Wyn Davies was just so good as Doyle, I'd just like to see him in the role again! Jimmy McLeod was a character that raised some profound points about race and racism - a story set on a reserve with Jimmy working as a police officer or as an officer of the government would be very interesting.

I'm surprised Sarah Pensall didn't get more votes. I'd like to see more about turn-of-the-century spiritualism and theosophy in general. Normally I'm not a fan of psychic solutions to mysteries, but perhaps Sarah Pensall could join the theosophy movement and drag some interesting characters back to Toronto with her.
I would still vote for Sally Pendrick - she's an excellent arch-nemesis! I'm still hoping she's behind the eternal "return of Gillies".

Now that Season 8 is confirmed I think they should try to get Ruby Ogden back: she was great in the Houdini episode and Murdoch in Wonderland. And if there is a wedding, she HAS to be there to help her sister!! Speaking of family how about Jasper and Harry. They could make things complicated with their presence. William has been without family so long he really would not know how to relate to his father and brother except on a superficial level. The character has been ever so slowly learning to deal positively with emotional situations, so this would be a natural story arc.

Honestly, I'd love for James Gillies to return.
Even though he's dead.

Yeah, but now Season 7's over, I hope he's in Season 8. Though I was tired of Gillies escaping all the time, I was also disappointed that his body was found. I guess I wanted him to haunt William and Julia for a while. I'm not sure how Gillies could come back this time, unless he dug his way out of the grave to eat the brains of the good citizens of Toronto.

Hah - if that happened, I could just imagine George having a major fanboy moment.
