>:(I wish I hadn't watched this series and the first three series of Murdoch. The last episode was such a let down. I am really angry that I wasted so much time with this program. The last ever program was so AWFUL and IDIOTIC that I just can't believe what the "author" has written. DREADFUL DREADFUL DREADFUL!!!!

Actually, it wasn't Maureen Jennings (the author) who wrote for the tv series, but a group of writers. If you read the novels, Murdoch doesn't marry Julia anyway, so no big surprise. The writers really had taken a lot of liberties with Jenning's novels. However, the William/Julia romance made things interesting! But, it is after all supposed to be a murder/mystery series, and the show must go on (if indeed there is a season 5). Should be interesting to see how things work out if there is.

I forgot to add: I do agree that this season was disappointing this time around (as I had mentioned in the Kissing Bandit post last week), and felt that the writers really dragged things on. It was really unfair to do that to the viewers.

I read on the Alibi message board that Maureen will be co-writing a script for S5 (if there is one).
I understand how everyone is frustrated but I'm sure they'll work it out in the end. I loved the episode and I knew, to be honest, that it wasn't going to end the way we wanted it so I wasn't overly disappointed.

Yes, I heard that Jennings may write for season 5. It will be interesting to see how she'll develop the storyline!
