E.), Aunt Briony? My memory is terrible, but I don't remember her being mentioned.

Yes you are. (Sorry about that, I am a mod on another board so don't like to step on toes as i know how troublesome things can get. Mind you our board is generally a lovely place to be) Except for when I'm being an ass, which is often. Okay, maybe not on here. Which of these is NOT one of George's aunts? (That we know of so far anyway) A) Begonia B) Petunia C) Primrose D) Clematis E) Briony It's Petunia, I think, ( But I was sure it was clematis too) and I am not sure about the scrutiny camera. i am sure it has been used 2 eps Murdoch on the Corner and The Ghost of Queens Park (is that the title?) and I think another one, when it was introduced, the one where they take a picture of a rodent. So I am guessing 3

^^Yes, you are correct! Congratulations! I only know this stuff cuz I am compiling a video of all the mentions. But I haven't done S5 and 6 yet so there is a possibility that I am wrong and Petunia has been mentioned. I hope not.
It was introduced in Buffalo Shuffle when some thief was trying to alter the photo negative of his crime. I can't recall if it was used in S5 at all so you are probably right about 3 times.

Correct. Three times.
1. Used to catch a thief who breaks into the station-house.
2. Used to try and catch whoever is dropping the wallets in the square.
3. Used to try and catch a ghost in "Queen's Park".

Well Cosmic Cavalcade knows now that she has made a mistake (small one though). Aunt Petunia is mentioned in the episode 2 of season 5 which means that all the name of her list where mentioned at least once in the show If you are interested to finally know how may aunts George has you can check that link: murdochmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/A_Colony_of_Aunts

That's what I thought! I was certain I'd heard Petunia in one of the episodes! I got it wrong anyways, because I couldn't remember Briony being mentioned, but ha ha.

Okay, so I guess it is my turn then, but since it is time for me to go to Bedfordshire, I will compile a fiendish quiz on the morrow. Ta ta.

Sorry this has taken a while, but here is my quiz.
which of the following inventions did George not invent (hypothesise about)
a, canned meat
b, wire tapping
c, the sticky tape dispenser
d, the microwave (potato cooking room)

Uh I thought he hypothesized about all of these. I suppose he called it wire tracing though so I guess b) is my pick.

Yeah, call tracing and wiretapping are very different actually. William actually discussed wiretapping in the first ep (Power) when Tesla came to help him. He said he wanted to eavesdrop on criminal conversation. It's the practice of connecting a listening device to a telephone line to secretly monitor a conversation. Phone call tracing or a call trace allows you to trace the phone number of a call that was received. George "invented" call tracing when he had the operator literally trace the phone wires to determine the origin of a call.

You have it right cosmic cavalcade. I thought my little word play on tracing/tapping might have kept the game going longer. Would have worked better if I could have thought of one of George's more obscure inventions to throw you off.
your turn....
