Waaaaaaaaa - the cutest puppies! Quite a surprise today, Sunny's pups arrived 5 days early, all full term but rather small. She had 5 but one was stillborn so we have 3 girls and 1 boy. As the pups were early and will be 11 days old on Nov 3 I can now go to the screening so managed to get a ticket today!! Click on photo below to see full size image, can't get it to attach at a size you can see here. Congratulations! They look adorable. And I am so glad you can come to the screening!

This summer, my parents and I drove from the Twin Cities area to the Canadian Rockies for a two-week vacation (also stopping at Dinosaur Provincial Park and the Royal Tyrrell Museum). The first night, as we relaxed in our hotel room, I turned on the TV to see what Canadian TV had to offer. As the TV guide channel scrolled through the offerings, I saw something called "Murdoch Mysteries." 'I wonder what that is?' I wondered, and flipped over to it. If I remember correctly, the episode was 'Snakes and Ladders.' I quite enjoyed it, as did my parents.
Over the time of our vacation, we caught a few more episodes, including 'Murdoch Night in Canada,' 'Anything You Can Do,' and 'Big Murderer on Campus.' When we got home, I checked Netflix, saw it had at least the first few seasons, and added it to my queue. A couple weeks later, I got Disc 1, Season 1.
By the time I finished those first four episodes, that was it. They had me, hook, line, and sinker. And rod. And reel. Net. Waders. Fishing hat...
Desperate for more, I searched online, and found the acorn.tv site. I signed up and continued watching. Two weeks of binge watching (including two marathon weekends) later, I'd watched all seven seasons. And immediately started rewatching them. Currently, I'm on my sixth time through the series. (Or maybe seventh - I've already lost track!)
I haven't been this addicted to a TV series since Mystery Science Theater 3000. Everything about this show clicks with me completely - the characters, the stories, the acting, the writing, the style, the humor. I can't wait to see where things go from here!

I am so glad you have visited the beautiful province of Alberta. My parents came from there so I have lots of family living there. In fact we were ther last year for a family reunion, and we had the same experience with the TV in our hotels and the B&B! It seemed as though every time we turned it on there was William Murdoch doing his magic. The only difference is that I was already a fan. I feel pretty lucky. All I have to do is tune in to the local TV channel and there it is. Too bad you, and everyone else who lives outside of Canada, has to search for the show. Please feel free to jump in with your observations and opinions. As you can see we have a lot of fun here !

Welcome fellow American! And Mystery Science Theater 3000 was awesome! Was, and still is! I still watch it, and its spinoffs, a great deal!

I'm poking around discussions right now. I'm usually not very talkative, but I'll try to jump in from time to time. *smile*

Wasn't sure where to put this so figured here was as good as anywhere. Decided it was time to change my screen name, I'd been thinking of it for some time but wasn't sure what to use. I wanted something related to MM and I finally found something I think I like. I'm sure you'll all recognize my avatar so you know who I actually am.

I do recognize your avatar, but I'm having trouble matching the screen name to the personality of the person!
