It is a couple of years old now and it is British but i only found it not quite 3 days ago. I was watching an episode of MI-5 on PBS and after it came a show i had never heard of called Garrow's Law. I googled it. I watched the first episode. I went and found the rest of the show. Then i went to sleep. It is an historical drama about the man who changed the court system in modern western civilisation.
William Garrow was a barely educated, articled barrister in London in the late 1700s who found the court's treatment of the accused to itself be unjust. So he set about reforming things from within The Old Bailey. He later was solicitor general and attorney general and a member of the privy council. Thanks to Wm Garrow defendants are now allowed to introduce evidence, the prosecution now carries the burden of proving guilt, and affirmative defense and alternate theories and suspects are allowed to be presented in court.
If you like MM for its historical setting and don't mind a more serious show you might just really enjoy Garrow's Law. The third series will be on BBC likely later this year.

Sounds interesting I wonder if it will be in BBC America.

I was watching it on PBS. I don't think it will be on BBC America. And if it is it would likely be edited from its nearly hour-long time to something about 40 minutes. And would you really want that?
And the third series was on, ending about a week ago. There are a whole 12 episodes for the three series.
