I agree he was great in ST:FBE but I don't think it can be brought back now. Its too long since the last series and I can't see how it could make sense. I also quite like the way the whole Jack Sue relationship ended - with the possibility that they would end up together, but the knowledge of just how much they mean to each other very clear. I enjoyed the whole show and was pleased to see the actor who played Myles appear in an episode of MM.

I don't think it will come back but they could do a movie or two, then Yannick will still be free to do Murdoch and STFBEYE

Once I'd gotten used to the overly sentimental tone it took sometimes I loved this series. Will even admit to shedding a tear or two on occasions - especially when Levi was poorly that time! There was a great balance in the team/characters, if any one of them had left I would've missed them and I can't say that for all the shows I've watched

I have to admit that I was in love with Levi When he went missing nearly broke my heart!

Wasn't it funny seeing Howie in the latest episode of MM? I hardly recognised him as the very tanned Mr Roach

I didn't recognize him at first, until the cat was removed from it's grave. Everything screamed Howie in that scene.

I thought that Yannick was great on that show. I just think that his character Jack should of been given the chance to tell Sue how he really feels about her at the end of the series.

I just realized that on my new cable provider has this show. Yay! It seems to be in the middle of the show though. I hope it starts over soon so I can see it from the beginning.

I really like this show and I loved Yannick in the role of Jack Hudson. I too am hoping to see a reunion movie.

I'm starting to see a pattern! Jack then Murdoch... I don't think it has anything to do with the characters Yannick Bisson portrays, it's just what every show writer unfortunately does these days. Frankly it's getting old...

I was surprised at how much I liked this show. I usually prefer heavier drama, and this show could have been featured on the Mickey Mouse Club. But it was also great to have an intro to deaf culture - especially with such a capable protagonist. Of course, Yannick played a big role in making the show watchable because he's so...watchable. In a way, winning love is also part of challenging being defined by your disabilities, whatever they are. Yannick made Jack's feelings about Sue believable.
Still, that show was hard for me to watch because of the relentless Christian messaging. I know the show was funded by PAX and the real Sue Thomas ultimately studied to be a minister - but still, did all that preaching and praying belong in a government workplace (where we're supposed to be observing the separation of Church and State and respecting our non-Christian neighbors)?
The one thing I absolutely could not stand about the show was the constant liberal bashing. Liberals were constantly inviting the Downfall of Humanity just by their attempts to defend Constitutional and human rights. Protestors invite bringing down the plague, civil liberties lawyers get murdered because they defend freedom of speech, racial profiling charges get in the way of the heroes trying to protect us, and even a few anti-tax screeds. I'm surprised they didn't stone a gay person or foil attempted abortions while they were at it! Could the rejection of liberal and progressive views be laid on any thicker? Geez.
Do people from the midwest always think kind neighbors will show up and give a helping hand to any situation that jerks the heart-strings? What are the people without such wonderful neighbors supposed to do? I think this kind of show makes the whole American Bible Belt look bad.
And the worst part is I subconsciously imputed these views to Yannick because I had seen him in other fairly conservative vehicles. As I confessed in my fangirl post, I regarded Yannick as a probable jackass that played nice guys on TV. I'm still trying to get over the shock of discovering Yannick is actually a terrific guy and could be a role model for the men of his generation. So I wish the real Yannick hadn't been hidden behind all that PAX ideology.

Sue Thomas is actually (in a roundabout way) how I discovered Murdoch! I absolutely loved the show, and even though my heartthrob from the series was Bobby Manning (played by Rick Peters), I especially enjoyed Yannick's portrayal of Jack and the chemistry between him and Sue (Deanne Bray). Searching through Yannick's IMDb page, I found out about MM and decided to give it a try. When I first started watching, I often found myself comparing Jack and William. Yannick does such a nice job portraying Murdoch though, that he quickly became his own person...although I do see a little Jack come out now and then.
