What about S2? For me it's very close between Convalescence and Werewolves. The wolf man was pretty scary chasing them in the sewers and attacking William. The camera work made it more so. In Convalescence it was the hallucinating and the fact that William was injured that made me worry he would be hurt. And Snakes and Ladders was scary at the end with Orgill chasing Julia and trying to kill her. I think I go with Werewolves though.

extremely successful serial killer? i'd say that this counts as pretty scary, especially back then when they didn't understand them at all. Though i suppose technically we still don't...
