How about in S2? I chose Shades of Gray because of the way it tore apart William and Julia. It was a sad case, too.

Let Us Ask the Maiden. Very sad. The girl was engaged, but loved someone else. In the end, she lost her fiance, the man she loved, and her father. Tragic.

Yes, that one was very sad, too. And the guy lost his best friend because his boss was trying to kill him! I thought it would be nice if Sam Fineman and Devra Begelman comforted each other and found happiness together in the future.

SoG set the stage for everything that went wrong in their relationship and continues to do so. it's rather frustrating to the audience to have them so blissfully happy just the episode before, only to have them destroyed the very next one! I realize that in "show time" it was probably several weeks inbetween the two events but it certainly didn't feel like that to me! hannikan, yeah that's what i always thought too.
