Why isn't Georgia Reilly in the credits? Emily is still guest star status. I wondered about that too and I have no idea lol It's a bit strange as she is one of the main character these days and the show treat her as one. Maybe they've left her as guest star status so they have leeway with the future of her character, and how much screen time they have to give her. In ep 1 she was barely used. |

In my opinion that might be a contract issue. Credit cast earn more money so that might just be it. Even if she is in all the episodes the fact that she is special guest and not a credit cast member might make a difference in terms of salary. It is just my opinion, I do not know for sure.

She's not even a special guest star. She's just listed the same as the guesting episode actors. I suppose you're right and it's so they can pay her less. Which wouldn't be so great for the actress. |

I agree but with CBC having to face some serious budget cuts and still taking on Murdoch, maybe they were not yet willing to put the extra money ( if the show gets a 7th season she might be put in the credits who knows). Anyway so far I really enjoy season 6 and I'm sure the UK will get more and more excited each week there's a new episode, I know I am  |

It's also possible that Georgina wasn't 100% sure she would be available for whatever # of episodes is required to be considered a full time cast member. She recently got married, so maybe when contracts were originally negotiated she wanted to play it safe and not commit to the full time schedule.

I have seen this on other shows too. On the Good Wife, Chris Noth is still listed as a special guest star when clearly he has been on the show and a key character for years now. Must be a contract thing.

We must remember that contracts are usually only negotiated every 2-3 yrs, not every year. So she may also have originally not been planned to be a permanent character when she was introduced for S5.

The show's contracts will have been renegotiated for S6 when it moved channel. So they just must want more leeway with her character.

It's been lighter in S5 and S6. It probably is even lighter in S6 than S5. I noticed this in the credits for the S6 finale, The Murdoch Trap. There will be a telephone exchange supervisor, so perhaps part of the episode will take place at the Telephone Exchange. I heard that Tess Moffatt is supposed to appear in S6. She wanted to leave the telephone exchange and start her own private detective agency. Maybe she wasn't able to get the detective agency going or she still has to work at the telephone exchange in addition to it. Apparently the UK had a preview trailer and our dear William was kissing someone and NOT Julia aarrgghh!!! It is definitely after episode #6 and now that I think about it, maybe it's a ghost from next week episode  I'm not too worry about it though, I might be p***ed off for a few seconds but I know that the writers won't go destroy William & Julia relationship |
