What do you think of Constable Crabtree?

He's the comedian of the lot isn't he? I believe he's a very good singer too.

I can't picture him singing?! He is a stand up comic. I think he's hilarious. The chemistry is so good with Murdoch and Brackenreid, too. So I am looking forward to more about George and Ruby. I also hope that Edna Garrison might come back for her dog. I always liked them together, too.

George is a wonderful character. He's developed a lot since series 1 and I think probably deserves a promotion - after all, he was acting detective for one episode when Murdoch was ill. I love the humour he brings and his double act with Higgins - another character that has developed. I'd like to see something more of him and Ruby too as I think that would make a really interesting situation for William and Julia to deal with.
I'd also like to hear more about his many, many aunts - and see his cousin Penny again. She was entertaining.

Yes all the aunts! I love how most of them have flower names. "My Aunt Primrose always said." "My Aunt Azalea doesn't think so." Penny was fun, too. Pretty much every guest character has been entertaining. They're all such good actors. I love recognizing actors from Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea, too.

I want to see more of George and Higgins, when he told Higgins not to carry on in the new episode was so funny!

I love that George is an animal lover and that the writers have kept this theme throughout the show. In the very first episode he has a soft spot for the animal rights protester and adopts the dog that was rescued from the electrocution experiment. In the latest episode, Dead End Street, George had understanding for Roach thinking strangling a cat was justification for murder!
George also pursued the dogknapping in Future Inperfect, against the Inspectors instructions, using his own dog as bait.
Just another reason to love this character!

Crabtree is one of my favourite characters. He comes up with so much ludicrius tripe, it's hilarious.
A horse that can run backwards. Microwaving yams. A secret compartment in a book to hide a...smaller book.
He's just so full of idiotic ideas, but they're all so funny. He definitely brings a comedic and humorous side to the series. I love him.

I also love that while his presentation of his ideas are usually ludicrous, he often thinks of the way the invention will be used in modern times. Like the microwave used to cook potatoes (not that every modern home has a potato cooking room though!

I want to see more of George and Higgins, when he told Higgins not to carry on in the new episode was so funny! Their chemistry is a hoot. They almost remind me of the Odd Couple hehe. I hope the writers keep letting them interact together.

I think George is an amazing character! I think that he has better chemistry with Edna Garrison, the animal rights activist. When you think about his encounters with both ruby and edna, personally I think he's better suited for Edna. I think that Higgins is a good character, but I wouldn't want to see him replace George. I hope George stays in the show until they stop filming!

I wonder what George would think of the twenty first century.... I don't think that he would like lots of the food we have now, especially the junk food. I think that he'd probably love it in the beginning, but eventually he'd probably get sick of the fast pace and, well everything else really. If I could choose, I'd much rather live in his time period then this one.

I loved George with Edna, too! I wish she'd come back to check on Violet, her dog.

Oh yeah that would be great! And then, if she did, maybe it could be like george remembers how he felt about her, and then has to decide who he likes better, Edna, or Dr. Grace. I think by the end of season 5, if George had any interest at all in Ruby Ogden, it's gone by then. Especially when you look at what happened in the s5 finale. Who do you think he would choose, Edna or Emily? Or if you can't decide on that, which would you prefer that he chooses? I personally can't decide

Well, Ruby hasn't been back because the actress hasn't been available. They definitely heading in that direction in S3 and 4 though. I don't feel like Emily has been brought in very well overall and I'm not a huge fan or her with George. I don't feel the chemistry as much as with Edna or Ruby. I'll accept it but I'm not thrilled about it. I would definitely prefer Edna but I doubt the actress will be available either. Part of the reason they had such chemistry is that Jonny and that actress were already friends.
