I dunno, I've never really noticed. Certainly it's not as strong as Brackenreid's by a long shot! I mean I can tell that her accent is different than this web series but neither one sounds British to me!

That would make sense because the actress who played Julia in the pilot tv movies is from the UK and had a English like accent for them. So yes, Julia does sound different in the webseries. Definitely Canadian. Whereas on the show it's either a British accent or a generic accent that can pass for English. I'm not sure it's meant to be a real British accent though because Brackenreid is very English and Julia's is more a stylized one of what English should sound like. I wonder if Julia's family could be from the UK originally. |

Well, Brackenreid is working class from Yorkshire. He has a Northern English accent. Julia is from a well-to-do family so her accent is going to sound very different from Thomas'. But it's definitely an middle-upper class British accent. It's not as strong as it would probably be if she lived in England because she's supposed to have lived in Canada all her life. There are many varieties of British accents just like a New York accent is very different from American Southern accent. In Canada, a Toronto accent is different from a Calgary one or a Newfoundland one. It's funny because Ruby, her sister that she grew up with, doesn't have a British accent. Hers, like William's, is like a Toronto accent today. I have a feeling Helene uses a British accent for Julia to help her get into character. There would have been more Canadians with British accents still back then because they weren't as far removed from Britain as today (either they were immigrants or their parents were). Maybe Ruby is supposed to have lost her British accent because she has spent a lot of time in New York as a journalist?

LOL at George in 1899. So to switch times all William has to keep doing is getting hit in the head. I guess the whole thing will end with him getting together or almost together with future Julia, but then waking up in 1899 and it's all just visions during concussion. Which ties in nicely with him having visions of future Julia in the time machine.

Oh my god this is so much fun!!! The going back between 1899 and 2012 is brilliant!!! Can't wait to see nasty Brackenreid and Higgins again and find out what is going on with "Jules" (like that nickname!!!). The episodes are coming pretty quickly not that I am complaining thanks again Scrubby21 & IAMACANADIANBOSS!!! You are both the best  |

Anyways, they're really just throwing these eps at us now! not that i'm complaining! take charge Murdoch is sexy as hell! I was bored and checking out Tumblr when I noticed ep 5 had just been posted a few minutes earlier. I knew you'd get to it later but I couldn't wait lol. Aww at what William says at the end of ep 5 about how his hesitation before with Julia had cost him her love. And he wasn't going to hesitate this time, that he'd kick in a 1000 doors to save her  I see what Citytv are doing, for people watching at Canadian pace the webseries will show that W/J are definitely not over, which people watching at UK pace weren't sure of between 503 and 511. The webisodes give Canadians something to hold on to and it does all tie in really nicely with the events of the finale. I wish we had those webisodes at the time of early S5 it would have made 503-511 so much less frustrating and boring if I'd known for sure that W/J were being written as meant to be regardless of obstacles and time. |

yup, it definitely would've made it a lot less frustrating for us! I wonder if now that they've thrown that confession out there, if we'll be waiting longer in between these episodes? I hope not but I dunno. guess we'll have to wait and see!

I doubt we'll have to wait longer. I expect another episode Friday or Monday. It seems to be every 2-3 days atm. It's good we don't have to wait a week for each episode because we've all already seen S5.
