Hello everyone,
My name is Sophie, I'm 28 and I'm French. I'm a huge fan of Murdoch Mysteries. I love the XIXth century, love the way they were living and getting dressed. There were so many new inventions, new great authors. It was a great time. And I love William Murdoch, he is so smart. He can resolve any mystery. The actors are all very good.
I hope I will have a great time with you guys.

I notice that there is another French fan. It's very weird because I think that this TV show is not really known in France. I mean that I discovered MM on France 3 since the beginning about 3 or 4 years ago and no one never talked to me about "Les enquêtes de Murdoch". There is not very much publicity. It's not like "Desperate housewives" aired on M6 or "House MD" on TF1 for instance.
However I can say French fans we have had the same good idea to log in on this board.

As you can understand I'm as surprised as you and I'm agreed when you said "suddenly". According to me this board is the one which is very interesting.
Oh I have seen that you have written in french some words in one another post of yours. Do you speak french? Do not hesitate to correct my sentences if you see mistakes. I would like to improve my english.
To finish Sophie has explained why she likes MM. "The reasons why I like watching The Murdoch Mysteries" or "the scene which make me laugh" would be good new topic in waiting for the all new episodes. But it's just a suggestion.

And welcome to the board Sophie, I am sure you will like it as well, France3 is going very fast showing the episodes of season 4 & 5, you are lucky that you don't have to wait too much!!!
Me waiting IMPATIENTLY for season 6 now!!!!

I do speak French un petit peu.  I'm rusty and out of practice but I lived in France for 6 months when I was 17. My father was doing research for his dissertation in Geneva and got funding for our family to go with him. We actually lived in France (in Annemasse) but right over the border with Switz. I went to adult school there because I had already graduated from high school in the U.S. a semester early. I minored in French in college, too. But it has been a long time since I've spoken or written it much. So I like to practice with people as much as I can. Your English is very good.  |
