Just got the email about inactive members getting their accounts deleted so thought I'd better post a hello to prevent it!

Hi and welcome, I did say to email back if you wanted to stay as a member Some people apply then forget so I'm trying to figure out who's done that and who just doesn't want to be a member anymore

I would post more often if there was more incentive to do so...

I could see this forum being very popular. Or at least I think it could be.
MM is a fascinating, unique show. Very different from a lot of the stuff on TV these days. Indeed, very different from a lot of the police/crime stuff on TV these days. But nobody's here.
I think MM could spur on a lot of discussion about crime, history, and policework and such things, but I don't see any evidence of it happening here. Beyond momentary mentions of the episodes and characters and actors, nothing else happens around here.
So, when the final season ends, what...this website goes into meltdown mode or something? That'd be a sad thing to happen.

I see what you mean, at the moment I am working all day so it's hard to get online. I think once the new season has started here in the UK then it will pick up, hopefully To be honest there are far more people here than I ever thought when I set it up to begin with

The Facebook boards are the most active MM boards. You'd be shocked how much busier they are than this board is or than Tumblr is. For some reason, everyone just stays there. It's active even when the showing isn't airing anywhere in the world.

I just can't use facebook. I could never justify signing up for it. I'd never use it for anything, which is why I haven't.
I guess I'll just ride the ship down.

Just thought I'd mention it. The MM boards there function just like a message board. This one is public, so you can view it without an account. Just to give you an idea: www.facebook.com/groups/MMAppSoc/

No, it still requires me to sign in. Bugger it. I'll stay here. I can be the night watchman. So long as I don't get stabbed with a syringe of nicotine.

I'm not really sure how to get people to post more, I've been posting a link to the board wherever I can. Snow day today so I can stay here The reason that you have to log on is to stop any spam of any kind. Which I'm fortunate to say we haven't had any. I might open to the public for a trial to see how many people we get looking at the board. Lots of people like to roam without posting.
