Oh so you're one of those people who takes like months in between updates? Tsk, tsk. Well, I guess it's good you will continue it, a lot of people NEVER do and it's quite annoying.

Nah, I'm not one of those people. I usually write the story and then post chapters every couple of days, so I don't leave my readers waiting. My problem is I lose interest quickly; my attention span flits. That's why I usually stick to one shots, or short three-four-five chapter stories.

Oh sorry, you made it sound like you hadn't updated for awhile. I am basically exactly the same way, except my stories tend to be longer than that. What is your pen name? And are you posting on Fanfiction.net? If so it's possible I've already read some of your stuff.  I would say that you won't be disappointed but I can't possibly know that. They do tend to get rather random and crazy the longer I've worked on one. Which is saying something cuz they're usually pretty random and crazy to begin with.  |

Aha, well, my reason for not updating my first MM fanfiction is that my computer crashed and decided to delete my files when I was working on a few chapters. I've been boycotting the thing ever since. Actually, I really haven't had inclination to write after that, it just won't be the same. Also, the posting-before-knowing-where-I-want-to-go-with the-plot thing, that too. I just joined ff.net; I had an old old account, but I wouldn't wish THOSE stories upon the most daring of readers. My name is MurdochMysteries- I know, I'm creative- and I have one alternate-timeline fic that's rather pitiful haha. Don't worry. The crazier the better; randomness is sort of my domain. |

Oh that really, really sucks! I've never had that happen to me personally (cuz I'm so paranoid that I back it up like crazy in several different places) but I definitely wouldn't want to have to re-write chapters worth of material either! Yeah, that is also an issue for me. Not so much with the romance/drama stories cuz those just sort of play themselves out, but the mystery ones. But it's kind of fun to see how far you can write yourself into a corner and still find your way out again in a moderately coherent way. I succeeded okay in some of my mystery stories but a lot of them have random/fantastical endings cuz that was the only way I could tie up the loose ends. |

I usually save every thirty seconds, 'cause I'm messed up that way. But for some reason (late hour? Caffeine withdrawal?) I didn't, and then my computer shut down. I'm also a master at procrastinating, so I've been putting off re-writing my lost chapters. lesson is, save, and back up. Always. XD |

Hi there from the US! I've been watching Twentieth Century Murdoch. In one scene, Higgins and Crabtree are discussing Dr. Grace, Higgins says that she's from the upper class and Crabtree is not. I thought it was established that she was born into the working class, but somehow managed to get into med school. She was even engaged to a real upper class jerk. I know that came later, but what do we really know about her back story?
By the way, I agree that she has sometimes had a creepy vibe. George really cares about her, and if she messes with him, I will not be a happy camper. However, I do believe that George is smarter than we are meant to believe, and he deserves a great wife. Higgins does, too.

Yeah, that kind of thing really bugs me. Like when William bought the ring for Julia the center stone was blue, but when we have seen it recently, the stone is red. AAAHHHH

I'm not a regular and I don't watch much TV. But my wife binge watches things she finds on Acorn, and we are into season 11 of Murdoch for perhaps the 3rd time. We agree that losing Emily Grace was a travesty. So we think in the final season, whenever that is, that Dr. Grace should return, and she and George should finally get together. Their marriage would be a great series finale.
I know a lot of people will say, "Well, she's a lesbian now," but I believe she is more bisexual than a committed lesbian, and would be happy to be in his arms again.
George Crabtree appears in one episode of the Frankie Drake Mysteries, that take place in Toronto some 15 years after Murdoch, but his marital status then is to my knowledge not made manifest.
