What do you think of Dr. Emily Grace?

S5 hate, hate, hated her with a passion! Maybe I just had misplaced anger issues towards the character for taking over Julia's job/scenes? Yeah, that is exactly what it was. This season I don't mind her because Julia's back in the picture again. But I still feel that her character is a bit too cold and don't really get why George likes her.

I agree I didn't like her in the beginning she seemed too... jolly?... Not taking it seriously, maybe... I don't know it's hard to explain but now she's growing on me but I'm not sure how I feel about the her being with Crabtree.

I love her. I think she's a breath of fresh air. And she and Crab are cute together. William and Julia are sweet and heartbreaking, but Crab and Grace are cute and fresh. It's hard to describe what I mean. They're different couples, with different vibes. I think it all works really well now

She's a great fit. Another recurring female star on Murdoch Mysteries is awesome, even if it is in the same role (pathologist). Her and George are predictably well suited for each other as well.

I like her all right, but she's not as well integrated into the show as the original 4 for me. I don't find her to be a great fit with George, honestly. They are all right together, but they just don't have a natural chemistry to me.

^^Yes, that is also my problem with her. I think the characters/actors had zero chemistry in S5 and I hated that the writers were forcing the romance. But this season I don't seem to mind so much so I guess that's good.

Yeah, I don't think that actors have believable chemistry. George had way more chemistry with Ruby, Edna or even Tess. It is improving, but still not enough for me to be a big fan of them.

Hm. I'm not sure of my feelings towards Emily Grace yet. She's rather odd, isn't she? I hated her in series five. Mainly because she was in Julia's morgue, taking Julia's place. She was better in series six, definitely, but I find it a little creepy that she's always smiling and cheerful when she sees dead bodies. Her excitement at finding the false arm in "Au Natural" with the preserved flesh was a little scary.

^^That is my exact impression as well!

Sometimes I wonder what she did with that preserved flesh ahaha. Even if she wasn't creepy (and she is improving; I loved her in Twisted Sisters and going all Dexter in the blood splatter in "The Murdoch Trap") I dislike how her and George are taking the exact same road Murdoch and Julia did. I wish there was more creativity and she wasn't such a faded version of Julia.

AHAHA! I did a photo recap for Au Naturel and I portrayed her as a cannibal! xD
Basically as soon as it was clear that she was staying on as a regular, I knew they'd try to force the whole Gemily thing. It's really unfortunate that the actress who plays Ruby couldn't have come back. Maybe Emily would never have been introduced in the first place?

Thank you. So much. xD Now whenever I see Emily, in going to imagine her chowing down. Jeez, Emily, stop eating the evidence! That might be needed later! Perhaps. Maybe Emily would be with Higgins? Higgins desperately needs a girl, and he seems to have a thing for Emily. What is it with police constables and cannibalistic coroners?

Yeah, Murdoch kept saying he was going to fire her for being creepy and then by the point he gave her the arm and she was all excited about such a 'delectable find' Murdoch says, "Definitely going to fire you soon. Can't have a cannibal running around, eating all the evidence!" xD
Yeah I could see that. In one of my fanfics she dates him but ultimately breaks up with him cuz of reasons that I don't recall right now.

That sounds hilarious, like the episode itself. I swear they gave a crazed fan a computer and told them to write an episode for Murdoch Mysteries (and I promise, it wasn't me! XD)
I can see them together, definitely. I don't hate Emily as I used to, so I wouldn't mind her and Higgins (at least, I'd prefer them to Gemily.) Riiight, fanfiction. I should probably update mine... later. xD
