Yes I understand his motive for Judith's killing. But for the other two it seemed really weak and didn't make sense. They were not threatening him so why kill them?

He killed them in order to throw suspicion off of himself and on to the Professor. He had heard the tragic tale from his sister or cousin or whoever she was and knew exactly what to do in order to accomplish this goal.

^ Yes, exactly. She was his sister, who'd seen it happen but wasn't involved with the hazing. He knew that if he killed all of them it would look like the professor's retribution for his sweetheart being accidentally killed in an act of punishment for her relationship with him.

I *thought* this had been mentioned somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now, so I'll post it here just in case.
When Sophia Lucas talks to Murdoch for the first time in his office, we can see his blackboard behind her - and it has the names from the 'Nightmare on Queen Street' web episodes on it. So right from the beginning, that web series was intended to be canon.

Too bad doctor Bates was killed off. MM has a bad habit of killing off all the creepy alienists. That's such a juicy role - they should keep at least one hanging about. I also want to believe The Murdoch Effect is canon.

In the opening video for that, Crabtree says he's just gotten his promotion to detective, but all the dates for the web series have been in April and May, while the last two Season 8 TV episodes clearly took place in winter.

Shh! You're not supposed to notice that!! This is where suspended disbelief comes into play again. Just picture snow on the ground!

Still trying to get caught up with the episode a day challenge I'm getting closer I think. 1. It drives me nuts that William still doesn't seem to get along with Emily. Get over whatever it is. 2. I was also quite annoyed by Emily not wanting George around the croquet match at first. At least she came around later. 3. Julia was such an extra in this episode. Honestly, if she wasn't in this one it would have changed nothing. 4. LOL I think Henry was trying to steal George's girl. 5. It was nice to see a bit of Emily in this one.

That croquet situation was yet another where Emily just didn't seem to be right for George. lol - yep Henry is very competitive with George over women...
