I wonder what Murdochophobia will be. Someone is afraid of William Murdoch? Or is William afraid of something. The word would suggest the former (if you have arachnophobia it means you have a fear of arachnids/spiders). I wonder if Thomas will be convinced by George that there a Loch Ness monster. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it!

We can't be certain that these episodes are factual; but I must say they do sound interesting. Loch Ness Murdoch will make room for the return of George's wild theories, and Murdochophobia could be interesting.
I personally have my doubts about 'the return of Sherlock Holmes'. Not only does it not look or sound like a Murdoch Mysteries title, but I can't see CBC bringing back a a character that was disliked by many.

Many liked him, too. The same can be said for many characters on MM (Pendrick is hated by some, so is Anna). In fact the characters that cause the most controversy are the most likely to be brought back. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he returns.

I suppose, but I find it more likely that Eva (from Murdoch in Ladies Wear) will return. Her story was less complete than Sherlock's. I wouldn't be surprised if Sherlock returned, but I would be a little disappointed.

These new eps sound interesting. I can just imagine George's take on the Loch Ness monster. And I liked the Sherlock ep. Wouldn't mind seeing him again, or Conan Doyle. In fact I am having a hard time thinking of a guest character I wouldn't like to see back, apart from Gilles ( nooooooooo!)

Cal Coons has been credited as director for 7x6 and 7x7 so I'm thinking they're legit. I had my doubts last year when season 6 titles were posted on imdb but it turned out they were all real. And Andrew Gower has been put for 7x4, so he will be back. I think CBC is trying to keep it a surprise though so that's why there hasn't been any pictures or stuff. There's other actors credited too.

Yeah, it definitely is legit. Return of Sherlock Holmes will be one of the S7 eps. I'm not sure what you mean about William returning home to Scotland, jj1. He grew up in Nova Scotia, he never lived in Scotland. He is Scottish by background, so it's the home of his ancestors. Probably a couple of generations back. They'd have to get the actor who played Harry to return, Stephen McHattie. He's a pretty busy actor in Canada, so he may not be available.

I'm all for the return of ACD. So long as they drop the "SIR" (which he didn't gain until 1902). But that fake Sherlock thing...I dunno.
I MIGHT be open to it if the guy came back as himself, and set himself up as his own private detective. But not as Sherlock Holmes.
The Murdochophobia thing sounds kinda funny. I can't imagine what it might be, but the title sounds funny.
Loch Ness Murdoch? Perhaps we have another case taking place in the U.K.? Murdoch & Brackenreid visiting relations in Scotland or something? I dunno.

The very first episode he appears in.
"Mr. Doyle! Sir Arthur Conan Doyle?" "I suppose it's a book you'd like me to sign?"
Like I said, he never earned that title until 1902, for services rendered in the Boer War.
At the time, the highest title he could be addressed by was "Doctor", since he was a medical doctor. Although by the 1890s, he'd given up professional doctoring.
