That's a good title for the Gillies train episode. I think it will be his final appearance, too.

Agreed! All the episodes [that titles have been released to] sound exciting, except for the Sherlock one. I also wasn't a fan of him. Hopefully it's his last appearance as well. Aha thanks! Yes, it's been quite the exciting week. I picked "The Murdoch Trap" as my signed script. I think it's Gillies' last appearance too. As Michael put "Death by Train"- hopefully he wasn't kidding. Though Gillies does make a great villain, it's time for him to go. And Julia should totally throw him off the train. Girl power!

I just looked that name up and she's only 39! Was she 5 when George was born? LOL Interesting... I suppose they could always age her/make her look older than she is. www.imdb.com/name/nm0076899/

Lol! I know, right? They had better explain that one! Or perhaps she'll be made to look older than she is, or maybe George is younger than you think he is. I found this on some theatre site: Giacomo Gianniotti landed a series regular role on Murdoch Mysteries for the upcoming season and will be part of the Canadian Film Centre’s Conservatory this year It was posted on June 19, 2013 so it's obviously for s7. But a series regular role? Like what? Here's his imdb link m.imdb.com/name/nm5521198/ I can't find anything else about him in Murdoch Mysteries though. Also, does anyone else think my theories might be right: Ep 7x08 is Republic of Murdoch, because 1) 1-7 had been filmed 2) This was the episode filmed after #7 3) Slated to air in November 4) It will air before the train episode. [A Midnight Train to Kingston is slated to air in December. So train ep is probably 7x09 5) Eps 10 and 11 have been confirmed So can we agree that Republic of Murdoch is 7x08 and A Midnight Train to Kingston is 7x09? My orderly, organized OCD side would really like this settled

It's mentioned in S2 that George was 29 then when he was looking for his mother. So he can't be much younger than 34. I've noticed that the cast lists on imdb are never complete until the episode airs. Sometimes even the main characters are not listed until then. Maybe he'll be like Paddy Glynn was in S4 and be in several eps in S7 through some job.

Oh, ok. That makes sense. So yeah, he has a very young aunt.. Hmm
That could be it! This will be interesting to see. Oh, and yeah the cast listings are never complete until post-episode but they are accurate beforehand, just with a lot less credited actors (obviously)

I think we can agree that A Midnight Train to Kingston will be 7x09- if the hiatus is beginning after that episode, it makes sense for the Gillies episode to be the last one before the break. Hopefully the writers will be kind for once and not give us a cliffhanger.

I suppose enough people liked Sherlock to bring him back, though. Oh, gosh, I WANT A SIGNED SCRIPT! I think I'd have chosen Murdoch Au Natural. That was by far my favorite and the funniest episode of season 6. I agree. I have a friend who absolutely loves Gillies, but even she agrees his rein of terror must end. I do hate it when great characters are ruined because of prolonged and unneeded use. If the writers want Murdoch to have a nemesis, they can bring out a fresh character. Julia can whack him several times on the head with whatever is at hand (for all the pain he has caused her and Murdoch) and then toss him off of the train. The gang can say it was an accident.

Ok. A Midnight Train to Kingston is now 7x09. The folks over on tumblr are saying that there won't be a cliffhanger. And another thing.. If Republic of Murdoch is in November, and Train to Kingston is December, that means that one is Nov 25 and the other is Dec 2... Which may mean that they could put Murdoch in Ragtime in on Dec 9 before the winter haitus. Or just make it a long, unbearable winter while we wait for the other half of the season, CBC. Go right ahead. #falltvproblems Aha, that would have been a good pick, too! It was really hard to choose. I really hope Julia throws him off the bridge! That would be just peachy with me.

They would have really been more like cousins then. That can happen if one sibling is much younger than another. For example, my husband has an uncle who is actually closer in age to him than to his mother (the uncle's sister). His mom is the oldest of 8 kids and this brother was the youngest, born when she was 18. Then on the other side of his family he has a cousin who is old enough to be his aunt. It's just funny because the way George describes his aunts, they all seem pretty elderly. But maybe one of the reason they get into arguments is because they are actually from different generations.

Oh, I'm not saying that the aunts he has spoken of are necessarily his biological aunts, but I've always assumed they were related to one another or at least been relatively the same age to one another. I've always thought they were women who were related to the couple that took him in and/or their close friends whom he then would have called his aunts. We actually talked about this earlier. What's interesting is the aunts that will appear in S7, will be in Newfoundland. So, they may well be his biological aunts, if his biological family is supposed to come from Newfoundland. And perhaps he may have gone to Newfoundland before. If that's true, those aunts he's spoken of could include some biological aunts. We'll find out when the episode airs.
