Hello!
I watched this video posted on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152195769222995&set=vb.278265358918600&type=2&theater), and I can say that Inspector BRACKENREID has eclectic tastes for music (opera first and now ragtime). You can see him at the fourteenth second on the left of the screen; he is near the bar moving his head on the rhythm of the music (https://www.facebook.com/MurdochOnCBC/app_168188869963563). He knows how to have fun. And about Murdoch? Is he going to unbutton his shirt and up his sleeves? I don't think that the professor Otranto (Snakes and ladders) thaught him how to dance to this beat but it would be fun to see him on the dancefloor with Julia.

Receiving that package must have absolutely made your day and possibly your week. I'm so envious. XD More on topic: apparently Julia and Emily are having a girl's night out. Bachlorette party maybe? In any case, we know it will result in some kind of murder or mystery, cause that's how Murdoch Mysteries rolls. It sounds like a fun episode; perhaps it will focus on two cases- the one the girls have to solve and the one the guys have to solve back at the station house? They can compare notes at the end. My money's on Julia and Emily doing a better job. XD

It made me year!!! if you want to see what I got check out ilovemurdochmysteries.tumblr or something, it's there. Yes, it's a batchelorette party on an island I believe. I'd love to see the girls have to solve a mystery by themselves! That would be awesome! Julia and Emily seem like they could be the best of friends if the writers developed them more together.

Murdoch Ahoy is the title of the premiere. Kind of an odd name..

So I am curious how the writers will make the link between Julia's depressed sad mood of the ending scene of The Murdoch Trap with the flirty Julia we saw on the CBC teaser. It's difficult to say, but it looks like that scene of Julia and William on the ship is quite early in that episode. Julia definitively looked like she was done feeling guilty in that scene.

There's obviously been a time jump so she's had however long to recover.

There's obviously been a time jump so she's had however long to recover. I hope she HAS had time to recover Murdochic because according to IMDb James Gillies is baaaack ....... in Murdoch Ahoy. I didn't expect to see him again quite so soon.

I'm pretty sure he'll either be there for a flashback/recap or a trial scene. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have anything to do with the actual plot of ep 1. As I said before, I thought he might be there for a hanging- but he pops up later in the season, so that probably won't be the case.

You're right MelodyPond101--- it would make sense to do a quick flashback or recap in the first episode of the season and it would naturally, include Gillies. If it's new footage, maybe they will briefly show him slinking off into the bush after his latest escape mentioned in the last episode of S6,if only to once again bring home the fact that he's still out there. And flashback or recap could also help if they do address whatever issues Julia (and William) have been dealing with since the trial and near hanging. Ahh, I feel much better now
