Hi folks, I've been getting myself familiarized with the board and thought it time to jump in and say hello. I only started watching Murdoch Mysteries in July and immediately fell in love with all the characters and the show. I could kick myself as I thought it was just some boring, turn of the century whodunit and had no inclination to tune in and now I'm scrambling to catch up on 6 seasons! I feel like I'm living and breathing Murdoch these days! I thought I'd share a link to some behind the scenes pics (29) of them filming here in town a few years ago... Filming Murdoch Mysteries in Cambridge,ON (if the link doesn't work it's the City of Cambridge (Ontario) site under "Filming" - Murdoch Mysteries). They were filming at the Farmer's Market in June, I guess before they headed out to Nfld. Only been watching since July but thanks to all the reruns airing every day (and thanks to PVR) I just have a few episodes of Season 5 and most of Season 6 to see. No worries, between this board and all the You Tube videos, I should be ready to graduate to S7 in Sept. Thanks for a great fan site  |

I'm curious carco. Does the local newspaper give any notice that they will be filming there in advance or do you just get an after the fact report? I am dying to creep a location shoot. I can be in Cambridge in about an hour!

Hey lovemondays I've never used the 'messages" section before---thanks for the contact  I've only seen pics and a brief story in the Cambridge Times after they've been to town or maybe the week they are in town. (The times only comes out a few days a week). The last I saw that was last summer when there was a pic of Murdoch standing by a fruit display at the Farmer's Market when they were filming the "Filmed Adventures of .....". I wasn't watching the show at that point. Try following the Online sites for the C'bridge Times or City of Cambridge, you might know ahead of time if they are going to be blocking one of the bridges or disrupting traffic/ parking in some way. When they've filmed on the Water Street Bridge, I've seen mention of it for traffic purposes. They always film in Galt if they are here but they seem to be going to Brantford more often these days. Thanks for the info. Checking city/town websites for road closures is a great idea. I have some family in Brantford so I'll have to put my aunt on the alert, lol!
They've filmed several times in Oshawa at the Parkwood Estate but there's no notice because it doesn't affect traffic.
I just think it would be fun to head out for a day. I'm sure they're used to having a crowd of passersby.
