I wasn't so bothered about the crime being obvious this time. There was so much else going on that it all took a bit of a back seat anyway. It was a great episode. And it was good to have W/J back in full force.

I don't know how you guys thought the crime was obvious. I mean, of course the lake monster wasn't real, we were never going to think that it was, but I had no idea the two deaths were different and what the motive was. I thought it was a really good mystery.
And of course I loved the Jilliam bits. They were so sweet together. And the Crabtree/Brackenreid scene at the end was awesome. My fave of the season for sure.
But there are so many episodes still to come, it's almost overwhelming to imagine all the stories ahead!

I didn't know every detail but it is kind of obvious who the killers are as they focus on them a bit too much.

Several remarks from viewing with eclair... 1) Lake swimming scene = "show me your creature..." 2) eclair's interpretation of Julia pushing William down into the water at the end of the water was so raunchy, I'm not even going to go into it. But I will say that he is viewing Julia as the "dominant" partner in the relationship. Yeesh. 3) I noted an irony about the guy who was upset he wouldn't be going to heaven to be with Katy. In William's theology, Katy wouldn't be going to Heaven since she was a suicide. Therefore, she would be waiting for the murdering guy in Hell. I wonder if William sees that as a comfort or not? Did he see the murder itself as justified? His expression is hard to interpret in that scene.

Well eclair's vision was a little extra dominant, lol.

This episode is just too cute 1. The Inspector was sure talking about being in Afghanistan a lot as of late. 2. William claiming propriety for his lack of sweat is absolutely one of my favorite lines from him. It never fails to make me laugh. 3. I'm as confused as the Inspector as to why George is a skeptic. He has suspected crazier things with less evidence. 4. "Clay and measurements!" Watch out, these two are wild. 5. I do appreciate that William actually smirked at Julia's dinosaur name joke rather than staring at her awkwardly and hightailing it out of the morgue Also, William splashing around in the water seems like such a feat for earlier William. Julia seems to have ~rescued~ him.

This episode is just too cute 2. William claiming propriety for his lack of sweat is absolutely one of my favorite lines from him. It never fails to make me laugh. This is begging for a "propriety...in bed" line...
