These aren't actually the CBC descriptions. These are just what I put on the wiki.

**************** SPOILER*********** For the W/J fans amongst us, CBC previews show (takes about 5 seconds!!) William and Julia in the water, at night, in bathing costumes, holding one another !!! yay! I don't know what they are up to, but she says " ..something is touching me..." Maybe another "love interrupted" moment because then there's a brief flash of William swimming underwater and looking kind of shocked.

This episode reminded me why I don't watch Murdoch with other people. It's impossible for me to keep my snarky comments to myself. xD
I actually got the case and the plotline bang on, so I won't add to the 'it wasn't an easy case'. What can I say, I'm a detective at heart. ;D
Leslie Garland x Emily Grace? *yawn* What else is on? The best thing that will come out of that scenario is Julia stomping over to his place and giving him a good talking to/a smack, because she has to protect little brother George.
My favorite lines were either
"Has there been a corpse on this?" (because we know that George would have eaten it anyways)
or
"What shall you call your newfound dinosaur?" "Julia..." "A fine name. I like it." (because I love Julia this season)
And the Jilliam! I was worried that we wouldn't get a kiss, and that my head would actually explode!
It was really, really funny, without being cheesy and misplaced like ep3. Totally worth the two week wait, agonizing as it was.

I am just rewatching the ep and am going to make some observations as I go. First off.. is that a new angle we are seeing of the morgue? And we are also get a first glimpse into the cool room. Cool! (errgh! sorry, I just had to say it) I loved the scene with the electric fan. I wonder if we will be seeing one with a swivel action gracing Williams office soon? "It wasn't a fish" ...and Williams face as he is saying it, LOL "Ooh! Clay and measurements" I loved this cos it sounds so much like something i would say (art teacher and all). The scene of them working together was so sweet. A hint of their future perhaps? "Don't tell her about the monster, I don't want her watering down my scotch again" "We wouldn't want that sir" priceless Brackentree moment ( yes, I made up a new MM term) "I believe in propriety George, no matter what the temperature" a Mudochism at its finest. The scene with Kuda is just lovely and so sad. And the final scene …aaaaawwww!!! they are just adorable. I love this ep cos William and Julia are just so relaxed and flirty around each other and Julia looks so amazing. It must be because Helene is an Aussie in her natural environment - at the beach - even if it is at a lake and it looks to have really crappy sand. Sorry all you Canadians.

Well it was a long two weeks but as far as I'm concerned we have been highly rewarded!!! What a very fun episode. I loved the fact that for once George was the straight minded one and Brackenreid plunged head first with the "lake monster" theory and wouldn't be deterred from it. William & Julia working together to discover a possible dinosaur's specy was very nice to see, they make a really good team!! and it also reminded me of William's dream of going to the Alberta's Badlands from season 2. Well, well, well it appears that George might have some competition after all, instead of inventing frisbee with the Inspector's hat he better keep a close eye on Leslie Garland the trouble maker (and I thought for a moment that it would come from Higgins…but no..). Finally all the great scenes with William & Julia…between the night swim and the final scene were a delight to watch….thank you writers to have given the frustrated ones like myself such a treat Roll on to next week but I'll be rewatching this one a lot of times for sure!!!!!

I loved the episode! The ending scene was perfect. This episode was just full of so much awesome!
I felt that Emily really showed her cold hearted side when she dumped the custard cone in the sink. I didn't really get that. I get the feeling she doesn't like George nearly as much as George does her. Oh well. Leslie may make things interesting. Although I don't want that to happen, either.

I liked the whimisical feel of the crime with the sea monster. MM does that kind of thing well. Brackenreid believing the monster was amusing. That's normally George's area and him not believing is bizarre. But refreshing. Julia getting excited about making a model of the monsters teeth was so cute. She obviously misses her and William making things together. Their fun , flirty and sexy banter is back. The body interrupted an almost sexy kiss. Booooo Damn the killer. Who I have no sympathy for. If he hadn't cheated on Katie none of it would have happened. At least he couldn't interrupt the W/J cute kiss at the end. It's good to have W/J back. Great episode.
I can't believe Emily just dumped George's thoughtful gift. She as cold as a snowball sometimes. Okay, it was a bit of silly gift, but still. Julia would have suitably gushed over it if William had gotten her one. Emily still wasn't impressed enough when he brought her icecream to the morgue. George, ask if there's been a body on the ice before you mouth it.
I applaud Emily for going to the John Doe funerals. Nice to know she's caring in someways. But she definitely wants Leslie. I knew she wasn't as into George as he is her. Leslie is an arrogant and sleazey guy. I don't like him.

I was lucky enough to score tickets to Bell Lightbox in Toronto where they showed this episode as part of the very first Canadian International Television Festival. The cast were there to watch and take questions afterwards, and they commented that they had not seen any episode on a big screen either. They also marveled at the audience reactions to various scenes: I guess they did not realize how funny they are! Apparently this episode was shot in July when it was really hot: that sweat you saw was real. I agree that we are getting what we need from Jilliam, finally, and I hope for more collaboration between these two. They work well together. Loved the water scenes!

Like everyone else, I really enjoyed this episode. The whole Brackenreid & George role-reversal thing was unexpected, but quite funny.
I enjoyed this episode on a whole, but I felt that it was a bit too easy to solve. The "Jilliam" moments were kinda cute. I especially liked the ending.
And Murdoch wearing a three-piece suit, hat and tie in 90-degree weather? He's got to be nuts. If I wore that, I'd get heat-stroke.
