I would like to see Yannick's indie film "Nothing Really Matters" - but I can't find it anywhere for purchase or legal streaming. It's not even on Amazon CANADA!!! Anyone know where to find this?

Hi. I found Nothing Really Matters at "Ge.tt" Just google Ge.tt and it will take you to the site. I have not watched it, because I don't like giving my cc number to a site I don't really know. If you watch it, could you please let me know how it is? Thanks

That's actually an ad for OVPlay.com. You're wise not to give them your credit card information: they don't have the company valuation to legitimately be managing the content they are claiming. I doubt they even have Nothing Really Matters - they probably claim to have every movie ever made (along with fake comments under the movie) to get people to sign up. Something really curious is that OVPlay.com gets a high score on a lot of "reputation" web sites. This made me wonder if they actually created a lot of fake reputation web sites to uphold their business. One also claimed OVPlay.com was based in the US: I don't believe that, either. Just sharing my thought process here so everyone else will be wary when they see this web sites like OVPlay.com (there are a LOT). It's really tempting to try it when it comes to a movie like Nothing Really Matters since there seems to be no legit source for the movie. But you should never use your credit card info unless you're overwhelming sure you're dealing with a real company. You should even be careful of web sites that have an elaborate registration process, because their business model is probably about reselling your personal information. Never, ever, ever give your phone number to "register" for a web site. Ps. Still looking for Nothing Really Matters. UPDATE WITH SOME RESEARCH I got curious about the claim OVPlay.com is based in the US. It's parent company is LETSPLAYVENTURES.com which lists an address in Delaware. I'm sure this is a shell company, but I haven't found the source yet. However, along the way, I saw a web site that listed credit card complaints against bamplay.com (also owned by LETSPLAYVENTURES: www.scambook.com/company/reports/105786/BamplaycomLondon/p/1Related web sites include fat-game.com, titanplay.com,vegplay.net, playflex.net... One of their web hosts runs a lot of porn sites: website.informer.com/letsplayventures.comYou can get a lot more of their "game" domains from this host: website.informer.com/Cognitive+Networks+Inc..htmHowever, I'm not sure how credible scambook is, so I tried looking up LETSPLAYVENTURES by its business address on the Better Business Bureau web site. Interestingly, the BBB knows this company by another name: AllGame Media LLC. This is not an accredited business, and it gets an "F" for unresolved complaints (mostly related to credit cards). www.bbb.org/delaware/business-reviews/video-games-dealers/allgame-media-llc-in-wilmington-de-32003672I'm not sure if this is related to the AllGame database run by All Media LLC: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AllgameAnd RipoffReport: www.ripoffreport.com/r/AllGame-Media-LLC/Wilmington-Delaware-19801/AllGame-Media-LLC-Titanplaynet-is-scamming-customers-by-Requiring-credit-card-for-Fre-1037250And there are similar credit card complaints scattered around. I'm surprised the Federal Trade Commission hasn't caught on to these guys already. However, it is possible to run Credit Card Trial scams from the US. The only time I've ever been scammed was when AOE was doing this back in the 1990s, and AOE was certainly a real company. Anyway, whether the origin company is in the US or not, OVPlay is definitely spawned from a very elaborate credit card fraud operation.

Wow! You really have investigated this, and I appreciate your sharing this information with me.
I am very careful about what sites I give credit card info to, and your point is well taken.
I know I have downloaded things from some sites that seem legit, and before I know it, twenty things have been installed on my computer! And then I am plagued with pop ups. I remove them, but some of the downloads are really nasty. I activated the Windows 7 user access control in an effort to minimize if not stop this kind of crap. The pop ups stopped.
In the meantime, I will continue my sporadic search for NRM. If I find it, I'll let you know.
Thanks

Maybe if several requests come in to them from different individuals, they may rethink their not releasing it.
I am a Yannick fan, but not a rabbid fan that would be prone to causing problems for anyone with a letter writing campaign, so I would certainly go with your wishes as far as finding this movie.

I haven't looked into this lately, but at the time it looked like the movie may never get released because the distribution company handling it went under. That was probably some fraud site asking for the credit card.

This might be significant or it might not, but on October 7 on Twitter someone asked YB which of his movies would he recommend and he replied Nothing Really Matters. Several people tweeted wanting to know how they could see it, but no definitive answer that I can see.

Perhaps the director recut it to show at Cannes, though. They might get a new distributor at Cannes.

I hope they do find someone. In one of the tweets the director was mentioned and I clicked on his facebook page. He is a director for Cirque du Soleil and it is in French which I do not understand.

Where on facebook would we maybe find this? Maybe if the director got more than one letter... He might be more inclined to try and honestly do something about getting it released.

Name is Jean-Marc Piche'-used the "message" button on his FB page and left him a "plea". It would be so cool to see YB in a role that did not require him to be quite so restrained, and more able to showcase his obvious talent.
I think he must be a little exuberant naturally because of his demeanor in the goof up reels that they show. I saw a director say that when he directed Robin Williams in Goodwill Hunting, that he would let Robin just go off by himself for a few minutes every now and then, just to blow off some steam and energy, before coming back to continue filming. It took a lot out of him to have to reel in all that creative energy and bring it down to a level of the other actors. Maybe (to a lesser degree of course) that is why YB is so exuberant and goofy on the take outs. It is his way of venting energy, because of how restrained the character of Murdoch is. Just a thought.
