This was pretty good, but unfortunately I only got to see it on a "free preview" weekend so I won't get to check it out any further. It's set in London in the late 1890s - approximately when MM started. The fact there can be new shows set in that time period proves there can always be new (or recycle-able) plots to carry on. Having just watched some reruns of Brisco County, all I could think of when I saw the gunslinger was Lord Bowler. XD I love the actor that plays Ms. Ives. She was in a show about King Arthur, too. She's really cornering the market on creepy!

What's it about exactly? It sounds like they are the detective/crime stories that George and Tess love to read so much.

It seemed like a cross between dime novel crime stories and gothic fiction horror stories. The first episode was mainly introducing the characters, so I didn't see enough to get a grip on whether the plots would be good or not, but I think it's worth following for a few episodes. The style is very lush, and anything with Eva Green in it has something pure evil going for it. George would like it more than Tess because of the supernatural qualities.
