I'm pretty sure you can see it clearly in the station house after William announces their engagement. She shows it to Emily... Edit: Nope I'm wrong. As long as it doesn't morph back into the original ring I'm happy.

I think the props and continuity departments really screwed up!! So now we have a cursed ring in an already angst-filled shipper arc. Just what the need. I'm amazed the writers didn't add the CURSED RING to the wedding sabotage list, lol. (why isn't there a "devil smiley" on the menu?)

Finally, the only glimpse of William's ring at the end of "The Death of Dr. Ogden".
CosmicCalvalcade has been conversing on Tumblr about how there is no ring in this horse pic. Runaway bride~ </Bad!Snacky>

We don't know what episode that photo is taken from. There were horses in the first couple of episodes too.

I guess Darcy was way ahead of his time then....cuz Brax never wore one that I can recall but the good doctor did, even after they had technically separated!

That, or maybe it's what that wedding ring symbolized for Darcy (stability, maturity) and therefore signaled his suitability for positions of greater prestige in a hospital. It's the same reasons why I suspect William would wear one, and why marriage is so important to him. It's the epitome of middle class, and that they're men, and not boys. Or, it could be just that the actor who played Darcy was married and wore a ring and just kept it on?

Oooh the amehtyst on the Bennington one! That would be such a lovely color for Julia! How about this one with amethysts? The date on it is 1930, but I think it could have been earlier. Did you see the thing about the Victorian Dearest ring? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dearest_ring

Okay, bringing this up is going to instantly promote me to Super Nerd(ette). Isn't there an episode of Ruroini Kenshin where Kaoru ponders the European tradition of engagement rings?

Actually, for years the antique engagement ring from The Crow was my "ring of choice" but I can't seem to find a suitable version of that outside of a movie.

I actually want a DEAREST ring now. It's beautiful! I spotted some nice rings when googling the Crow one! Here is the original one. I thought I remembered a stone in it, but I guess not: Here is a very nice engagement ring variation!!! What do you think? Maybe put a little bigger amethyst or some other gem in it? Also, on the same page, I spotted this very fancy ring! I kind of like it!
