CosmicCalvalcade has been up to some shenanigans again:
I love this idea! It got me thinking about all sort of incongruent pop song-MM videos. For some reason I kept thinking Lady Gaga's telephone with brass telephone bells and telegraphy gear. Oooh, or Dance with Me by Justin Timberlake with all William's dance fails. But I digress.
I do wish there was less talking head clips and more action clips. Canada Please is still your masterpiece, CC!
Have already written Lucy with a plea for a video forum, so as not to clog the Shipper lanes.

Not a big fan of the particular song, but I have to give some credit for creativity, lol.

OMG that's great!!!! I've never seen it before, either! Thank you!
Great choice of song, too. That mod/historic juxtaposition can be brilliant sometimes. XD

Not a big fan of the particular song, but I have to give some credit for creativity, lol. What song would you choose? XD One of my problems (and I put the stress on *my* problem) with MM videos is they make use of a current whiny hard-country style which I've been on my knees praaaaaaaaaaaaaaying will go away because that music literally gives me a migraine. I much prefer downbeat, relaxing, if not outright acid lounge music. But for some reason earlier 90s pop songs, though they may be inane, don't bother me. And there are a couple that almost always make good fan vids like Haddaways "What is Love?", Alice Cooper's "Poison" or Madonna's "Frozen". Ever see a bad fan vid made with Frozen? Thought not. Don't think it can be done. Brain tangent launched. If anyone wants to do a really moody/creepy MM video, they might try using this: youtu.be/UAXqD9CIzyA - but they would have to cut it so it starts at 1:40 or later because it's just a lot of techno junk before then. But it's Depeche Mode, so it's basically musically constructed with beats to make a good video. I like this version (this particular song has over 9,000 remixes) because it's so utterly soulless. I would call it the "William Just Threw Julia Away and Is Staring at the Ceiling Instead of Getting On the Next Train to Buffalo Remix".

Found a quirky little tribute to George/Tess:

Haha, love the George and Tess vid! They are so cute together! Unfortunately, snacky, I'm one of those people with horrid taste...I love country music and have an affinity for swing/big band. So something from one of those genres would be up my alley for an MM video.

So something from one of those genres would be up my alley for an MM video. I'm not talking about country-country music, though you may like what I'm talking about as well. This is a mix of hard rock and country music, which gets on my last nerve. But mostly when I listen to music I just need to zone out and imbibe aural opium: my Pandora is tuned to the Telepopmusik channel 99.9% of the time. Ps. Though I admire CosmicCavalcade's taste in music, the above is not about taste so much as it's about the way I use music to chill out. XD If I were using music to hook up with guys or to party on, it would be a whole other thing I'm sure.

When chilling out, the older the music, the better for me. I wonder if/when MM will address pop music during the turn-of-the-century. Sheet music had already created popular songs by that time, and the advance of the phonograph/gramophone was making connections in the music industry that had never before been possible.

It cracked me up when Ruby dissed Julia's taste in music. I wonder what she listens to. Was ragtime the "it" thing? I'm ready for MM to exploit Yannick's singing voice with something like a Christmas carol. XD I wonder if Julia can sing. Before the coming of the gramophone, and radio of course, the major evening entertainment was gathering around the piano and singing. If Julia can't carry a tune in a bucket, she'd probably go to hilarious lengths to hide it. XD

Wouldn't it be great if one of our beloved characters secretly had the voice of an angel?!
Maybe Julia would have to pull a "Singing in the Rain" if she tried to hide her voice, lol.

Well we know she can pull off a bowler hat, a la Cabaret. XD I'd really like to see that look come back. In fact, surrealism-wise, I wonder just how much William dreams of being punished by Julia in bowler hat...
