I've found that there seem to only be a few active members who frequent the site, and only one or two online at the same time.
Looks like MM really is a hipster thing.
We need to advertise.

It seems to be growing. I think there is a virtuous cycle of posting a lot and attracting people to the conversation. There are a lot of competing venues for chat right now. I expect most people will prefer Facebook groups since it's one sign-in for everything. However, I don't use a personal Facebook account because there's some danger of mixing it up with my professional work. A lot of younger people also seem to be into Tumblr, but it seems like you need a very frenetic brain and a very high CPU/RAM computer to maintain a Tumblr lifestyle. Tumblr "search" also sucks, IMHO. Then of course there is Twitter for instant gratification live commenting while the show is running. While all these venues fragment the fandom and might make it seem smaller than it really is, there is an up side: people can find the venue that's best for them, and there are a lot of different pockets for bling to sprout. The next step, though, is to run around and gather up some of this bling and redistribute it a bit: this will create links between separate parts of the community and unify it in it's support for MM. (Occasional squabble about whether Emily MUST date George aside).

PS, Off-topic, have you ever got someone to get up and do what you want them to do ... in their sleep?

That's why I'm posting some Tumblr stuff here instead of saying THERE MUST BE ONE FORUM UBER ALLES!!! Cross-fertilization rules. I read your other off-topic post, but too busy with work and my stealth MM campaign to embark on a mass mind control campaign right now.

What kind of work? I mean - I'm just some kid in school, I don't have a job, but I'm looking forward to hopefully having my application accepted for this art teaching job I really want to do over the summer before I get thrown back in school for grad year (8th grade).

You would be surprised at how many of your Elders want to "be on social media" but they don't want to actually be bothered with posting stuff and checking on replies lol. And sometimes people just need technical help with html for the blog posts, etc. Put up a few posters or offer to tutor: sooner or later you can get paid for the skills you already have.

I look in most days and yes it is quiet at the moment. We seem to have more posting when a current series is on tv. I'm having withdrawal symptoms too, hopefully it wont be long but we still have repeats to enjoy.

I am the furthest thing imaginable from a hipster. But I love this show and have wanted to find other people who love it as much as I do.
Alas, I'm south of the border and don't know how long it will be until I get to see season 8.

Would you like me to make you an avatar to replace the Bald Baby? Just give me the characters and/or a theme you want.

George shall be our mascot. No seriously - we need like, a site for the club, just to talk about everything and all. And best of all - swearing will be very much tolerated!
