I've always gotten my screencaps for my photo manips from Grande Caps. I have no way to take them myself right now. Is there another good source?

I've been reading randomwikkibirds thread about her screen caps. They come from grande caps but she talked about having saved them on an external hard drive. She has all 7 seasons available but i can't figure out how to get my computer to change them to zip files. I followed the directions but my system doesn't give me the last option to click. I hate being so inept.

Anyway...it sounds like we have her permission to use her images on this site. Don't know about using them to create awesomeness like the 40 year old virgin but I'm sure you could ask her.

If so, all you have to do is save them on your computer as-is. You may have to get one of your children to show you how to change the file type. There are several ways to do it, but it's best to have someone looking at your computer to tell you the best way for you to do it. Anyway, it's just a matter of retyping 3 letters.

Then you need to make sure your computer has a program on it that can unzip files. Your children can probable verify this for you, too.

Sadly it looks like, as I remembered, she started storing the doc files on Grande Caps - they are no longer accessible.

What should happen is when you press "download", you get the normal "save" dialog for a Word doc file. It will look familiar to you. Just save the file. Once it's on your computer, you change the filetype to a zip.

Unfortunately, the files are not there to download now.

I've downloaded some folders from there before. I have a couple.

With a total lack of MM screencaps available I may have to resort to getting them off my DVD's.

The screencap ppls are using some automatic program that takes a shot every few seconds.

I wish randomkiwibirds would comment, because it seems she deleted her screencaps from photobucket. I'm worried that she didn't think her screencaps were being recognized/credited. Or it's possible she's just moved on to another fandom and didn't want to deal with the upkeep of 7 seasons worth of screencaps.
