Apparently they didn't care for it much because we never really had any more scenes like that. The one in Tour de Murdoch pales in comparison. I was watching (online) "with" a male friend, and it was just toooo low brow. I'm glad MM didn't go the Baywatch route! I just realized what my actual problem is with so much talking shots at the start of vids. It's not the lack of action. It's the fact the words that are being mouthed don't match the words of the song, and the pacing of the dialogue is often off sync with the pace of the song. Anyway, even though characters *are* talking at the start of your Hot in Herre vid, I think that sync is much better. My poor little brain just can't handle too much conflicting environmental cues. Do you mean after I've posted them on YT? Cuz I can't really do that besides chopping stuff down or switching out the audio. I'd have to edit it in windows live movie maker and then reupload as another vid if I wanted to switch out actual clips. I think part of the problem is people simply don't have the show in file format...and the other problem is that the vast majority of fans are older people who don't have the time or inclination to make vids or other fandom related things. I see: I've never posted a vid to YouTube before, so I didn't realize there was any issue in swapping them out. Even when I did make a few vids, the problem for me was always hard drive space. But I'm working on getting back into a place into life where I can have those things again: and then I may try my hands at some vids! It will be at least a year out from now though.
