I love CC's vids, and this one is another winner: song choice, clip choice, the whole package! It might have been getting a little hot in here while watching it! Still hoping to start a video section in this forum. I felt this video transcended the "shipper" area. Ps. Ovation should have hired CC for their "Art of Love" video, so we wouldn't have gotten that uncomfortable "suggestion of rape" scene. grrrrr.

Lol well I couldn't resist having the priest strip and that was probably a bit uncomfortable...at least for Murdoch. I forgot they even had the same name!
Anyway, glad you enjoyed it. I think it became a little silly but what can I say, that's my style.

I think it became a little silly but what can I say, that's my style. I really enjoyed it! And all the more because somewhere in my Tumblr stalking I saw someone (you?) say they weren't even sure of William's sexual proclivities anymore. After you said said you were wavering on the 40 Year Old Virgin and this video started off with some "inappropriate looking" on the other side of the fence, I practically had a conniption fit! Was this ambiguity intentional?

Lots of giggles here. Very nicely done-I like how your sense of humor comes through on your vids. They're very playful!

It almost pisses me off how few people on Tumblr have commented (5 - wtf?!), when the whole MM crowd tag-stalks and the least little comment gets 30 likes. I hope it's not because CC posted my Sapphist pic.

Lol well it has gotten like 70 views so thanks for that snacky! It's probably because it's not exclusively a jilliam vid. Those are the ones that rack up the views. Same with fanfics. If you don't do a sappy jilliam fic you're not likely to get much in the way of comments. So yeah, I do find that a bit annoying...but someone's just started to post an Emily/Julia story and I hope they actually continue it because I can see it becoming rather scandalous.

Hey it can be interpreted as a Jilliam vid with some ambiguous "spice" and a little constable sideplay thrown in. I think it's the best thing you've done since Canadian Please, and I'm a big fan of Love You A Long Time, too. By the way I also think the Britney Spears one could be brilliant, but there's something wrong with the kick off: can't quite place my finger on it. Anyway, there is no question about Hot in Herre: this is Best Vid in the Fandom quality! Gratz yet again, if I haven't heaped enough kudos already. I'm going to watch it again after I write this post lol. I do think that touch of ambiguity, as well as the focus on action shots is what makes it. I hope you find satisfaction in the idea it's more fun being scandalous. And it should take pride knowing that you're really good at these vids and you should probably be turning these talents to something professional. XD Ps. BTW, I think "I Need Your Love" is good, too, but as you said yourself, the "shipper" story has been told. This new video told a...different story, lol. XD

For Britney, well it was kinda just a random funny scene I liked that I had never used before, so I can see it not exactly fitting with the rest of it. Actually, that's not true, I did use it before in the funny Julia vid but it got blocked worldwide so I removed that bit and reposted. Apparently it was fine without sound. The funny thing is that I spent a lot less time on the hot in herre vid than I did for most of the others. I didn't try to make clips match up with the lyrics too much, well only the parts I could actually understand without looking up. I kinda wish I had used a different clip for the ending...like George after his clothes got stolen by the fugitive.

I kinda wish I had used a different clip for the ending...like George after his clothes got stolen by the fugitive. Maybe you were just "possessed by the spirit"? I liked the active nature of the clips. I wasn't sure about the ending: it worked for me okay because I knew what Henry was showing George, but I'm not sure it would work from an outside perspective. Do you ever go back and revise these? I think it's worth revising the Britney one a little. When I watched it again and realized the song was telling the story kind of faithfully, I thought it was a worthy choice. It's just the clips themselves that needed some sprucing up. While making my Buzzfeed collection, I realized that "shipper" videos seemed generic and boring - even when they were well-crafted! The "good" videos told a story of some sort. It could be a story about the relationship between William and Julia, but the story wasn't simply "I love you". So, for instance, I liked 22OntarioStreet's video that focused on the theme of loneliness (which culminated and William and Julia finding each other) more than her other vids that were "a bunch of shippy scenes strung together". Anyway, I did make a few vids myself once, and I do realize that they take a long time to make, and each render is a hassle. So I appreciate you do it at all. There only seems to be a handful of active vid makers in the MM fandom. I wonder how to encourage more. Perhaps some sort of tutorial in making your own clips (instead of begging them?).

lol, I can't stop watching this vid. By the way, what's up with all the beefcake in Still Waters? Was this part of the "audience testing" during Season 1? This episode was definitely feeling out the female audience: it was like a female-oriented Baywatch. Then the next episode was like The X-Files. Then the next was a plain BBC Historical Mystery. *goes back to rewatch the video*

Do you mean after I've posted them on YT? Cuz I can't really do that besides chopping stuff down or switching out the audio. I'd have to edit it in windows live movie maker and then reupload as another vid if I wanted to switch out actual clips. I think part of the problem is people simply don't have the show in file format...and the other problem is that the vast majority of fans are older people who don't have the time or inclination to make vids or other fandom related things.

The one in Tour de Murdoch pales in comparison.
