I am not sure if this has been discussed in another thread before as I haven’t read everything but I thought the MM pets should get a nod from us fans and have a thread put out for them. We’ve had quite a few pets, some permanent though not seen in every episode and others were just visiting. I’ll start with a couple and please help find the others.
Violet the dog – George’s permanent pet Athena the monkey – Brackenreid’s inseparable soul mate from the circus

Violet the dog – George’s permanent pet Athena the monkey – Brackenreid’s inseparable soul mate from the circus Webster the Spider - George's pet spider. Does that parrot count?

Yes, the parrot counts.
I also thought about the snake in the Evil Eye. I am curious about that snake though in the sense that the one crawling around looked different from the one that ended up in the morgue. Did anyone notice that?
There's also Julia's goldfish.

Good catch on the goldfish. Georgeisclairvoyant also pointed out the dogs in 'Let Loose the Dogs'. Does the dead cat in "Dead End Street' count?

The cute doggy in cloud of doom. Never seen but William's well behaved childhood dog. Meta, but Yannick's various dog appearances. Betty or Betsy the hound in The Murdoch Identity...I can't remember which was the gun and which was the smelly dog.

They weren’t exactly pets for us or anyone for that matter. And also the cat. We didn’t get to meet him. No one knows what he looks like. We just saw his carcass. But there were two horses in the Red Planet (S1) that George borrowed from one of the local residents. The one he fell off of. They were not Police horses. They actually had names and he introduced them to us (well William). I don’t remember their names.

I thought he/she was adorable. Is Meta the dog that was watching over the lads at station house 4 playing hockey. Is that his name? That dog looked really serious, like a no-nonsense dog. It was as though he was there to make sure the lads didn’t play rough and dirty, or else. LOL. I was watching the dog more than the game.

Yannick's had several of his dogs on the show. He's an actor and not a character so it's meta. He had a dog in Winston's Lost Night and I think one or two this season as well. I've never even noticed a dog watching them play! But I've only seen that episode twice since I didn't much care for it.

You got me confused there when you said Meta hence I asked if that was his name. Yannick’s latest dog is called Khol, or something like that and I was wondering if you were referring to the real name Yannick calls the dog at home. I will add Emily’s skeleton as a special entry to the list seeing that we don’t really expect a skeleton to be live but he is her pet. He has a girl’s name (lol) and she was quite upset when he got stolen in Ahoy. I am sure we will hear more about him as time goes on. Only Emily will have a dead body (bones) for a pet.

Ah I gotcha now.
It's actually not a girls name. Shelley is the last name of a famous poet back then. Percy Shelley was actually the husband of Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein. So all in all very fitting for Emily.

Like you, I get confused with the names. They just showed the Murdoch Identity rerun and I walked in just when Slorach was explaining the names to the Inspector. But I'm pretty sure I'll forget again by tomorrow.

William gets down and pets one after walking around a corner with Julia in one of the Season 7 episodes I just watched with my Mom, but I'm not sure which one it was now. Hope it wasn't the one that died.
