Greetings, My name is Lana and I live in the U.S. I'm a big fan of British mystery/crime dramas and thanks to Netflix, I've discovered some awesome shows. I watched the first three seasons of MM on Netflix and I'm watching seasons four thru seven on acorn. I've never joined a forum regarding a TV show before, but found this site when searching for the Who Killed The Electric Carriage episode from season 5. I love the historic aspect of this show, not to mention that Yannick is easy on the eyes I look forward to discussing episodes with fellow fans!

Welcome Lana! We're always happy to have a new voice, especially from the US. Jump in anytime...our discussions range from very cerebral to outrageous shipper fanfic and speculation!
The people who have been posting regularly during the summer hiatus are all uber-fans looking to get a regular Murdoch fix until Season 8 airs in the fall!

I'm also from the US, and I'm very eager to make Murdoch Mysteries better known to my compatriots - hopefully before Canadians get sick to death of it. The show is now very popular there, and even advertised on bus stops and large billboards! The season premiere even trended on Twitter! Meanwhile it's almost invisible in the U.S. How did you even find out about it?

Welcome Lana! I too had never joined an online forum before this one so it has been a learning experience ! Even in Canada not everyone knows about this show so I am busy telling everyone I know how great it is. I just hope that CBC doesn't get stupid and pull the plug before it gets really well known here and in the US.

I'm watching seasons four through six on Acorn (Netflix stopped at season 3).

That's a shame Netflix has so few seasons! I take it you don't have the Ovation channel (The Artful Detective - American code name for Murdoch Mysteries) or Amazon Prime, either? Those are also ways Americans can get their MM fix! But the sad part is we can't (legally) get Season 8 at the same time as Canadian viewers, so we can't partake in the premiere excitement on twitter or other social media. I remember a lot of British fans, who got the episodes around a month(?) later had to hide from the forum to avoid spoilers. In case you didn't see on other threads, today the set in Toronto is holding a special Open House. Some Canadian fans are getting into the spirit of the times!

Snacky, Seasons one thru seven of MM are available online at Acorn.tv (30 day free trial and then $4.95 per month). I'm currently watching season six. Thanks for the heads up regarding the Ovation channel.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the Ovation channel. I'm making it my personal mission in life to complain about how the Ovation channel has confused and generally lost US viewers because no one knows that The Artful Detective is the same thing as Murdoch Mysteries. It's hard enough to let US fans know how great MM is in the first place: why add the extra layer of complexity by changing the name? Though I believe mrsbrisby had a more politically correct version of this, and I'm supposed to make some edits, so don't pass it on yet, lol.
