Kinda like William and Julia, but I DO have an opinion on that pairing. ROFL! It's true that work throwing people together does tend to "foster friendship" despite all the discouragement in HR manuals. But I think the fate of Gemily shows the wisdom of those HR manuals. Emily has been regularly rude to George. I think George deserves better, and when he finds the right woman he will treat her like the IBM heiress she will one day become! I think Emily has mixed feelings about George. She doesn't want to be mean, but she can't help it because while she doesn't have any "logical" reason to reject him, she has no passion for him. She should face the fact she doesn't "need" a man, and she should go back to working on her own professional interests. One day her prince or princess will come, but it isn't George.

I think that's a good point about men of their own class being less accepting of their careers and why someone like Ruby would be attracted to George, but Emily just doesn't work for him and I'd love to see him with someone else. But, I have little doubt that the writers will be giving us lots of Gemmily next season, whether it works or not. Gotta please them 16 year old fangirls! They're the target demographic! Honestly, I would have voted against Ruby, too. William and George are bros beneath all the formalities, and another Ogden would have felt kind of incestuous. Well, I did say someone like Ruby, as in an intrepid reporter of sorts. But not Ruby herself... but that might lead to all sorts of hijinks, which could be fun...

I hope you mean this target demographic is for the George/Emily pairing because I hope I've not misunderstood MM and I'm really a 16 y/o in disguise. Whilst I may wish I was a bit younger I really don't want to be 16 again! If being 16 again means that I get to be 21 again, I'll take it. Oh, if I could only relive high school and college knowing what I know now.

I think George needs someone with a lot of energy, too - to lead him on all sorts of adventures he can barely keep up with. Emily is a stay-in-the lab sort of girl. She needs a man or woman who can stay in the lab with her.

I was referring to that particular group of Gemily fans on Tumblr that went crazy when CC posted the sapphist pic. Members of the cast of MM has been favoriting their tweets lately, signalling an appeal to their demographic.

Also, where are you finding all this spoilery stuff?

Also, where are you finding all this spoilery stuff? Only indirectly by who they were favoriting. And I'm finding this stuff in Tumblr land, but it looks like all the MM social media courting goes on in Facebook and twitter. I wonder what they'd think if they knew that same masada42 person who is dripping all over them there, was busifying herself undermining my attempts to promote MM on Reddit? I think that's the danger of courting fans on social media: at some point it becomes about creating big, influential self-important fans who become more important than the actual promotion of the show.

I would like to see William use his dancing (non)skills again.
