To cheer Snacky up, and to prove her time lord theory is at least partially correct, I offer William taking the ALS ice bucket challenge, with some help from a special assistant. vimeo.com/103972040

I LOVE THAT SO MUCH! - I'm finding an excuse for putting that on my main video list later when I have time! (While that cheers me up in general, I still give up on the attempt to promote MM anywhere, because it's just not worth it if you not only don't have people on the Canadian side helping you, but running around to other forums undermining your promotional posts.) While this vid is about the most perfect combo of a modern idea and historical information ever (why didn't George shout "Gardyloo!"), I did have a wistful thought about how all the celebrity focus goes to one disease or issue at a time, and other diseases/issues get forgotten/neglected/unfunded.

It was a valiant effort, and one to be commended for, but some people suck. Yet another one of the reasons why I've liked the main FB page of the show, but won't join any of the fan groups-some fandom folk are cray, and I don't want my fandom and RL to mix. BTW, that's where I found the vid-the show's main FB page. The vid is a perfect combo of modern idea and historical info. I really love how YB did it in costume, and that Jonny was as well. Had they not been in costume, I probably would have watched it and thought it was cute and not thought about it again. However, I adored how they brought the show into it, and it really was a perfect example of cross-pollination. It it was also really great how how YB also pronounced out ALS-that's the first vid I've seen that does that-very William, IMO.

I've thought that too, but I think focusing on one disease at a time is good, and ALSA has reported a surge in both donations and people visiting the site to learn more, so there's plenty of good coming from this viral meme. I think it's a good thing, plus once you see the articles about the families talking about the good it's doing-and even the patient with ALS doing the challenge, it just brings a smile to your face.

Seriously, thanks again. I was determined to retreat in a Hobbit hole, and you reminded me that MM is fun, and the whole reason I was fangirling it in the first place is it makes me happy.
This perfect response to the Ice Bucket challenge is part of why MM makes me happy. Can you see a US show doing that?
Can I haz Orphan Disease Ice Bucket Challenge next...? I have some others if anyone is taking requests!

Wasn't it though-I like how Jonny kept appearing in costume in most of them. He's a troublemaker, that one.
