The MM promo ball is really starting to get rolling! www.cbc.ca/connects/tv-film/video-first-look-on-the-set-of-murdoch-mysteriesIt looks like William is going to get in there and throw some punches (in his suit! in his hat! in style!)! but as CC observed, he better not get wet, or he might lose the protective powers of the homburg. Anyway, we learned last season that Julia is capable of throwing down some badassery in her own right last season, so my question is, why isn't she around to get some of her own licks on behalf of the Inspector? ********* Why do I get the feeling that there was a conversation somewhere in this episode like: Julia: William, you will just be asking to be killed if you go down to those docks. William: Julia, we have to draw the line here, or the dockworkers will just go further! Who will be next? Higgins? George? Julia: If the whole station house goes down there in the heat of the moment, the situation will get out of control. People could die. That could be Higgins, or George. Or you. William: This is something I've got to do, Julia. Julia: Don't come back tonight if you do. (with dire implications about the wedding...) But my money is on William showing up with a black eye and Julia treating him anyway.

I hope Higgins is going to be around as much as usual. Jackson is a good enough character but I'm not keen for him to take Higgins role.
I'm not surprised station house 4 will all deal with the dockers after what they did to Brackenreid. William and George have been in fights before so they can take care of themselves.
I'm glad to see Julia and Emily get more storylines together, I like their friendship. And it gives Julia more chance to get in the thick of the action.

I think Kristian is busy enough with Orphan Black. Regarding Higgins - I've been wondering if he's related to the Rupert Murdoch family, and if there's any chance he could get sucked into that whole mess. It's a good thing Julia is in town: even if the guys can take care of themselves, by the looks of it they will probably need extra doctors on hand for stitches! If it is a "flashback" kind of thing, the next question will be: why aren't William and Julia married yet? Totally agree about Julia and Emily: the George and Higgins of the girls set! Also when they are together, it reminds the writers to differentiate Emily from Julia!
