The picture of a motorcycle makes me wonder if the police had "motorbikes" before they had cars...!

On a not quite related note, I was reading how an art forgery got passed through the Rothschilds on to a sale to the British Museum.
While MM has dealt with art forgery before, it might be nice for an episode to draw attention to the National Gallery of Canada - which was opened in 1880. Perhaps they could call William in to help with a suspected forgery case, now that he has experience in that area?
There was a lot of International competition between museums, as they were great symbols of national pride. And of course, that's why colonial soldiers would loot great art and carry the spoils back off to their "capital" museums.

Interesting reading. Puts things in perspective especially with the timelines and pay scales.

They could call him up Ottawa due to his previous experience in Art theft & fraud along with the added bonus of his being bilingual ! and no doubt Sally would be mixed up in it somehow.

Interesting reading. Puts things in perspective especially with the timelines and pay scales. You're right ziggy, the info on pay scales was really interesting. And you know, on the news here (SW Ontario) there's probably something mentioned about the T.O Police at least once but it never dawned on me that they purposely refer to it as ...Police Services rather than Police Force. Totally makes sense though (...she says smacking her forehead)

Yes, according to the timeline that's exactly what happened! OMG, maybe we'll see George on a motorbike! Run for your lives, everyone! It would have to have a sidecar for bringing the "perps" back to StationHouse #4 !!! Just not sure if that would make it better or worse!!

Police Services rather than Police Force. Totally makes sense though (...she says smacking her forehead) I keep hoping they will clarify that on MM. Every time I hear "police" I think the actor has made a mistake because they should be saying "constables". I had to look up the historical information to confirm the word "police" was being used, too. Because the word "constables" is also being used, and people might be confused over what the historical "players" are, this might have been worth clarifying somehow at some point.

Maybe just once, lol.

"Police" has been used for at least 100 years. Police as we know them today were established in Scotland in the 1800s, and London in the 1820s and 30s. Originally called "The New Police". Or "The Metropolitan Police". Or widely "Metropolitan Police SERVICE".
Police FORCE is, I think, an American variation.

If this does happen it would be interesting to see how Jonny plays this as he is a motorcyclist.
