I'm not sure if I want to see this or not. It might end up looking like a clown car at a circus. But somehow I still want to see it. Maybe just once, lol. If this does happen it would be interesting to see how Jonny plays this as he is a motorcyclist. Historically the constables didn't have those here until 1911 but when did that ever stop MM? I could see William futzing around with a bicycle, turning it into a prototype of a 1902-3 version motorcycle (especially once they've had a taste of the thrill of the speed of motor cars!!)

Then there will probably be something comic with George barely hanging on for his life and his helmet flying off.

"Police" has been used for at least 100 years. Police as we know them today were established in Scotland in the 1800s, and London in the 1820s and 30s. Originally called "The New Police". Or "The Metropolitan Police". Or widely "Metropolitan Police SERVICE". Police FORCE is, I think, an American variation. Would still like to hear "Police Service" used in the show. Has anyone ever heard that?

I found this site and thought I'd share the link. It's an article about the Toronto Police, from The Toronto Star, Dec 1903 "Some Famous Captures": www.billgladstone.ca/?p=7719Note the lantern in the drawing....there's still a few who question Murdoch's "flashlight"

Yes, according to the timeline that's exactly what happened! OMG, maybe we'll see George on a motorbike! Run for your lives, everyone! William rode a motorbike already at least as a passenger when he and George were in Newfoundland. There was also an episode when an inventor was working on one and then murdered someone. Can't remember the episode though.

The episode was Glass Ceiling and William rode the bike, he was a passenger in Republic of Murdoch.

What a great word! How much fun could you have with Crabtree chasing after the criminal pair of molly matches and the Brooklyn boodler?
