Showing off the t-shirt I designed. The homburg has a badge on it. If it comes out right, the badge says: Station House 4 ~ Toronto Police Department. A nice email code finally pushed me into buying it. Will be doing my bit to physically advertise MM next week! (But then I'll take the pics down here for privacy reasons, this t-shirt being unique).

Well, I understand how easy it is to miss the clever way the CBC toys with us viewers, but if you pay close attention you will soon learn their devious ways. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous. As soon as I read your post I went on a mad search of all my tv stations and there are other channels showing MM, but only Season 2. This is infuriating. How could you have missed three weeks when the first episode of Season 8 wasn't broadcast until Monday? Oh well, just think of me pining away with no Season 8 on my television machine. Sad, sad, sad. I meant I missed three weeks of the reruns! And I even wrote local TV stations just last weeks asking if we could have the syndicated reruns just like Atlanta! But we already had them! I just didn't know because they are on late at night, and it's hard to tell what's on TV any more unless someone tells you where to look. By the way I've already written the Royal Ontario Museum with my little suggestion. Here is their contact page: www.rom.on.ca/en/about-us/contact-usThe best way to find ALL the local stations showing the syndicated reruns of MM in your area is to use TVGuide.com. You can search the "Antenna" option and take down the actual channel numbers, and then you can search by cable/satellite provider for their channel numbers as well. I just can't believe that Shaftsbury wasn't trumpeting major syndication deal announcements all over the place! Haven't people in the US been Whiiiiiiiiiiiiiining about not being able to access MM legally? Now we can! But we don't know about it because the episodes are on super late at night (we have to record them), and Shaftsbury didn't bother to tell us! I have been searching fervently for a way to watch Season 8 here and I will even pay but I cannot. There are a gazillion sites that imply they stream it, but the reality is the vast majority all go back to one site and they told me they don't stream it because of a "shift in licensing." And the Canadian sites are blocked so I am an extremely unhappy camper. I watch MM on Acorn TV. They stream all seven seasons and they say that Season 8 will be available in the summer of 2015. At any rate they also have many, many other things to watch and it is $49 a year.

Are you in Canada? I thought you were in Aus. I'm in Canada and I don't see where the cat and mouse was with CBC. They were upfront about renewing MM for an 8th season before the 7th finished but I think we all figured they would anyway. They don't announce their decisions until late in the season, it's always been that way. What was the point of buying it if they weren't going to continue it beyond two more seasons especially as it's their #1 show. Just don't get what you mean by this. Hi again. No I am an American, but I have kept a close watch on news releases about MM. When I say that CBC was playing cat and mouse, I was simply referring to a discussion several of us had in the weeks before they announced they would be renewing it. (I can't remember where it is posted, but Snacky will probably know. She knows everything.) In interviews the actors said things like, "We don't know yet." "We will have to see," and so on. It is such an insult to the fans who after all are who are their audience and it was like five weeks before they had to start filming that the announcement was made. Common, you and I both know that several episodes had been written and were in development before that or they wouldn't be ready to film is five short weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if YB didn't have the scripts for the first two episodes and was already working on them. This stuff takes a lot of front end time and to make the actors have to play these stupid games is demeaning. By the way, You Tube has taken MM down.

Yes, they would have known but were unable to say anything. Like it or not, CBC makes all it's announcements for new, returning and cancelled shows at the same time, every year. Always has, always will. Everyone has to stay silent until the official announcement. Tough for fans but that's the way it is. Canadians are used to it but I can see how non Canadians would think it odd. You must have seen the wrong link on YouTube, try this one it was there when I copied the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9oyFbf6g6o

The link does not work in the US, which I think is not nice at all and how it knows my computer is not Canadian is beyond me. I just set TunnelBear to the US and this link worked fine. I added another link last Tuesday to a download site which is where I got my copy from. Not sure if it's a Canadian site or not but I think it's worked for people from the US: uploading.com/e94b3daf/Murdoch-Mysteries-S08E01-On-the-Waterfront-1-mp4 This is a decent quality copy. When the page opens up the button on the left will say 'Starts in 15 seconds' before this gets to 0 click on the box below to turn off download accelerator. Click Download for Free. The file will take a little while to download but it doesn't put any unwanted stuff on your computer.

Thanks for posting this again. I kept getting the Download Accelerator thing even though I unchecked the box before. This time it took a few tries, but I finally got it. You do have to wait a few seconds before clicking Download. Maybe it's because NoScript is blocking stuff. Anyway, I finally got the file "Save As" box to pop up. Whew. It took me a couple of tries but it finally worked for me too. If you leave the download accelerator checked it downloads a download program. I'm always dubious of those programs as they can install all kinds of crap on your computer and then you have to go searching to get rid of them.

The link does not work in the US, which I think is not nice at all and how it knows my computer is not Canadian is beyond me. I just set TunnelBear to the US and this link worked fine. TunnelBear. Ok. I appreciate that hint and I am sure I would appreciate it more if I knew what it was. What the hell happened to me? Twenty years ago I was a techo maven then it all went to hell in a handbasket. Crap.

That is what the VPN is for. What is the VPN? Virtual Private Network - it means avoiding the network that is blocking you by using an alternative network of servers. I sent you the information for the Hola one via private message.

I'm in Canada and I was seeing if I could access the video from the US by using TunnelBear to give me a US IP address. This video is freely available on YouTube.
