TunnelBear. Ok. I appreciate that hint and I am sure I would appreciate it more if I knew what it was. What the hell happened to me? Twenty years ago I was a techo maven then it all went to hell in a handbasket. Crap. You shouldn't need TunnelBear. I'm in Canada and I was seeing if I could access the video from the US by using TunnelBear to give me a US IP address. This video is freely available on YouTube. I was very skeptical of this claim, and I thought talbotrail meant postings of videos that would link to some offsite sketchiness. But she's right - for the time being, people are managing to post the full episode on youtube. Look at the timecode to sort through search results.

I can't imagine how that link is still up. But I hope it lasts until tomorrow for my Murdoch Mysteries "date" with eclair! S7 videos are still up from last year. Don't know why these stay up when others don't. I download them so it doesn't matter if they disappear but none of these have.

Not sure if she can find a way to watch them though.

I'm delighted she will be able to watch the premiere! (If she can find somewhere other than the library to go watch it). Also she can catch up on some of the Season 7 episodes she didn't get to see when she visited me. The DVD set is going to have to wait until Christmas, presuming the price is right.

I just set TunnelBear to the US and this link worked fine. I added another link last Tuesday to a download site which is where I got my copy from. Not sure if it's a Canadian site or not but I think it's worked for people from the US: uploading.com/e94b3daf/Murdoch-Mysteries-S08E01-On-the-Waterfront-1-mp4 This is a decent quality copy. When the page opens up the button on the left will say 'Starts in 15 seconds' before this gets to 0 click on the box below to turn off download accelerator. Click Download for Free. The file will take a little while to download but it doesn't put any unwanted stuff on your computer. Thanks so much. I'll give it a try. I take it there is some trial and error involved.

Now it the screen says I have to turn safety mode off. That really sounds counterintuitive. Any advice.

Is that safety mode on your computer or in TunnelBear? Is this so you can watch the episode tomorrow on the CBC site? It will probably be on YouTube almost as soon as it's on the CBC site. I think the person that puts it up has found a way to download the CBC streamed video.

At home I have a really cool book that's a kind of guide to the Stargate universe. Besides character profiles, the book includes sections on all the paraphernalia, gear, ship classes, aliens and worlds, maps, etc. The book is hardback, nice coffee table sized and printed on slick paper. I can't remember the price, but if I bought it, it must have been under $20. Murdoch Mysteries takes place in its own historical world. The Open House showed how much paraphernalia and prop "world building" goes into the show. Isn't it time MM offered up its own super geeky guidebook It seems your wish may come true. Katie Wolfgang posted on MMAS this morning: Hi everyone, question for you! Let's say there was a Murdoch Mysteries behind-the-scenes/companion book in the works full of pictures and new interviews, and also a signed limited edition version of the book planned, containing additional exclusive content - what would you want to see in that limited edition version of the book? Just a theoretical discussion at this point of course

Just a theoretical discussion at this point of course Hehe, well, I'll have to pull out my Stargate book and look at some of the sections. Can I take credit for this? But #ObviousThingToDoAfter8Seasons *places advance order*
