Should we dub this Tea-and-Crumpets-Gate? After insulting MM in an attempt to make Strange Empire look good it seems that EL may have doomed the show, MM fans aren't staying tuned to watch. Perhaps she should have thought twice about insulting the fans of the lead in show. SE had less than 300K viewers last week. Whilst I like the subject and overall idea for the show I find it too choppy and have a hard time keeping up with it. The only reason it's on in my house is that it follows MM and there's nothing else on, plus I'm too lazy to pick up the remote. I tend to autotune the programmes I want to watch. I'm sorry to hear that, because that's bad for CBC and bad for "Canadian TV". I think Emily Landau should actually step up and apologize. Perhaps should try writing a positive review of both shows.

They might have convinced themselves that after showing 10 ways a cliche bridezilla wedding can go horribly wrong, a simple courthouse wedding is actually a good way to go. This is also the team that married off one half of the OTP to someone else! From the perspective of the longevity of the show that was actually a pretty smooth move. *runs away before the forum stones me*

This is also the team that married off one half of the OTP to someone else! Don't remind me. Still, they didn't invite shippers to that one, did they? SE seems intriguing to me, but haven't caught an ep yet. I like the idea, even if I don't care for the actions of EL.

Still you don't know if you don't try. I find it's like having ADHD forced upon me.

And as much as I'm looking forward to the wedding episode, I'll be happy once it gets back to regular old MM.

yep that's how I see it. They might even flee to New York just to have the wedding. I kinda don't want her to get married in a courthouse because she does not have positive associations of that place! I want her to have positive associations of the day. If we do get a courthouse quickie, I want a beautiful outdoor reception. Wait a minute!! Julia has just taken a MASSIVE step forward toward evening the give and take balance of the relationship. The wedding has got to take place in William's church. Any other locations can easily be part of the disaster dream scenarios but THIS IS GOING TO BE A CHURCH WEDDING! If it's not I will be hurling my tea and crumpets at the big screen .

Whether they are thrown or not, that would be historical! But I agree-epic OTPs have epic weddings. A small, beautiful ceremony can be beautiful as well. I'm guessing that most of yah teaser was a troll.

I think she should bring a bag of stale crumpets with her just in case she has to express some feelings. (Just kidding! I don't want lovemondays arrested for vandalism.)

Shaftesbury threw it down: now they have to live up to their promise. Enuf said.

The teaser does strongly suggest most of the episode will be dream/nightmare sequences or failed wedding attempts. Like Talbotrail, I'm seriously disturbed by the finality of the "let's just get married" line with Julia in her street clothes. I truly hope this isn't a case of the writers finding something funny that the fans really won't. I second the vote on the crumpets. I was joking about the bag of stale ones to hurl at the screen in case of emergency. Don't get those "toaster oven" ones from the chain grocery stores either. Try to find big fluffy ones that will look tasty with butter and jam. If CBC is smart, they are sending an intern out to arrange for many microwaves and toaster ovens as we speak. Or perhaps they will be supplying the crumpets. (Probably cheap ones though. )

I'd love to see tea and crumpets at the screening, seems many people on fb have adopted them as the official food and drink of MM. Love the way this has been turned around as a slap in the face for EL.

If there are nightmares I think we know what the whiteboard list of ways to disrupt the wedding were for. I agree. I think that was a list of nightmare wedding scenarios. Have we seen a cast list yet? Any Gillies or Leslie? They would be good nightmare trolls.

Hat I'd love to see tea and crumpets at the screening, seems many people on fb have adopted them as the official food and drink of MM. Love the way this has been turned around as a slap in the face for EL. I'm pretty sure she says "Let's get married, Mr. Murdoch." And he replies "Indeed." Then they walk towards a set of double doors. I would be upset if that's where the episode ended, because that's a cop out after you've teased it this much. If they hadn't teased the wedding as much as they have, then such a wedding would be okay, but too much buildup has been done to pull that one. So, I hope it's a dream sequence, or a scene before they have a nice wedding. I have a feeling they want to jerk us around before they deliver the goods, and I'm okay with that-so long as they deliver the goods. If they tease and bait us the entire show and then just fade to black with only the implication of a wedding, I'm going to be unhappy. Maybe. That's not cool-there's playing and there's just being rude. I stopped watching Don Belisario shows because he kept doing that.
