They are minor trolls not Mega Trolls! If they're inviting shippers and plan to have a panel afterwards, I'm suspecting it should be good, and though it's fun to speculate, I hope I don't see it coming. TBH, I hope it's not a courthouse quickie because an epic OTP does not rate a down and dirty legal proceeding. I don't see a blowout, but a small, yet lovely intimate affair full of meaning. That's what I want anyway-I don't care to see Julia go Bridezilla, even though I think they might in a dream sequence just to troll. If it's in the courthouse, I suspect we won't see the actual wedding. "Let's get married" will be the last lines of the ep... We will just see the 10 visions or attempts that went horribly wrong.

I hope for a nice wedding (even though I think they should live together) but I just don't see it happening. The romantic in me loves weddings because they're supposed to be a statement to all of your friends and family that you have met the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with, and that you love them above all others. That's a statement that William wants to make, and while I think Julia would have been fine "living in sin", she knew William never would be, and only half-seriously suggested it. Exactly! While William looked slightly freaked at the flowers suggestion, it might have been because he knows Julia doesn't want the hassle. He's the one that wants a nice wedding.

It's probably the end of the ep, too. I can't believe the CBC would invite people to see a screening, albeit the 100th ep, call it Holy Matrimony, Murdoch plus have a cast and crew panel and then not have a wedding. I just hope it's the wedding everyone wants or there will be a riot. They have to know people will not stand for anything else after all this time. I hope I'm wrong in my prediction but it would be just like the MM writers to do something like that, they love to torture us. If there are nightmares I think we know what the whiteboard list of ways to disrupt the wedding were for.

I hope that ep is available the same night. I'm getting tea and crumpets, and probably some sort of special jam. And I still have plenty of absinthe, too!

Wow, this tea and crumpets thing has really taken on a life of it's own! Actually I really like the idea of something that was supposed to be an insult being embraced by the fandom. It's really a slap in the face for Emily Landau. Edit: Can I say any more really's! Do you get I REALLY like this idea!

It's why I really make it a point to only speak/write about things that I know about or at the bare minimum really make it a point to state that I don't have all the information and that I could be wrong. If I'm really going to make a statement that a show is about tea and crumpets, then I better be really sure that it's pretty twee. In other words, I can't make woefully misinformed statements about something and not expect to get called out on it. That's how the world works. Really.

Do you get I REALLY like this idea! I really like it, too. I've long thought that the MM fandom needed some icons, some ways to assert itself instead of saying..."oh well, MM is just a mishmash of things..." That's what I was trying to do with my whole style manifesto: give MM a positive identity instead of of just the wishywashy "it's a hybrid" one. Anyway, the "tea and crumpets" thing also works. Even if it is bestowed by the enemy, it's a banner that MM fans can gather under. I like it! I hope CBC thinks to serve tea and crumpets at the wedding event! I'm also thinking about the tie move, too. The homburg is the primary icon. But the tie is similar to the West Wing tie. With that tie move, I think it now qualifies as William's "game time". (Of course to shippers, it can also mean a lot of other things). So perhaps we should look at a homburg/tie combo icon/symbol. (with eyelashes, if you want to get artsy). Hmm, maybe that's the next version of my t-shirt! Anyway - revenge of the "tea and crumpets", lets run with it! Attachment Deleted#AppointmentTV

I hope for a nice wedding (even though I think they should live together) but I just don't see it happening. Team MM wouldn't do that to us. It's the Wedding of the Previous Century! I don't think they would-I'm hoping they wouldn't... But, this is MM we're talking about here, they have been known to troll-but not this much, so I don't think they would. Plus, again, how smart is it to invite shippers to an event and meet with them after you've just epically trolled them? I say this to convince myself as much as you.

They might have convinced themselves that after showing 10 ways a cliche bridezilla wedding can go horribly wrong, a simple courthouse wedding is actually a good way to go.

After insulting MM in an attempt to make Strange Empire look good it seems that EL may have doomed the show, MM fans aren't staying tuned to watch. Perhaps she should have thought twice about insulting the fans of the lead in show. SE had less than 300K viewers last week. Whilst I like the subject and overall idea for the show I find it too choppy and have a hard time keeping up with it. The only reason it's on in my house is that it follows MM and there's nothing else on, plus I'm too lazy to pick up the remote. I tend to autotune the programmes I want to watch.

This is also the team that married off one half of the OTP to someone else!
