I'm really trying to not get too excited for this episode-but alas I am failing pitifully. It's hard to do. Two weeks? Argh! I've watched the promo for the next episode several times and I finally figured out the first scene in the promo takes place in a courtroom. I'm thinking all the church weddings are dreams/nightmares and they finally decide to have a civil wedding. Julia has made the grand gesture, she accepts William, faith and all, and he doesn't feel he has to hold her to the Catholic wedding. William stated he wasn't anticipating a large ceremony, ultimately I think he'd be more comfortable with a low key affair. Well, that's my prediction....

Well, I don't know that I've decided as such just yet (I want a spectacular dress!), but I have been toying with that idea in my head too. I'd also thought it rather looked like a courtroom as well. Part of me likes the idea, but, but...the dress. Mind you, I'm not disagreeing with you.

Whilst I would like them to have the dream wedding in a way I just don't see it happening.

I don't want them to have the cliche/maudlin dream wedding, but I don't want them to have a judge marry them in some back office either. What kind of lifetime memories would that make?

I know! But William was the one the dreamed of the big Church Wedding in Air Murdoch! In his dreams he has a big wedding but that's an out of William experience, he has no control over what his dreams do. Once he's awake he's the buttoned up William again and reality takes over.

Not saying it's what I want I just have this feeling that's what we'll get. Ultimately the two of them just want to be together I think it's everyone else that's assuming they'll have a big wedding. Even if they got married in church it doesn't have to be a huge ceremony.

(even though "frugal" William would want to cut some corners).

I like the idea of a small, intimate affair, but I don't want a courtroom quickie either.

However I see the civil wedding as a halfway towards eloping.
